I felt compelled to write this review so that it might help other diabetics with cold feet like mine. I have tried about every sock you can name. The warmest socks I had before this purchase were Merino wool knee-high socks made by SmartWool that I purchased here. These were my go-to socks for cold weather below 40 degrees and being outdoors for extended times.
These Wigwam thermal socks are warm. I was a bit skeptical at first, but after wearing the 2 pairs back-to-back, my feet are warmer and feel dry as well. They are not overly thick and fit well with my regular slip-on work shoes. There’s only 1 thing I think can improve this sock and that would be having it in a black color.
Thank you Wigwam for making this sock for diabetics and helping us keep our feet warm. Thank you Amazon for partnering with Wigwam and making this purchase and delivery so seamless. God bless!

Try finding comfortable socks when you have a foot amputated.. even worse wen looking for thermal socks! Yes, I’m Type 2 diabetic and that’s how I lost the foot, bne infection from a neglected cut (stupid me, got what I deserved).
First these socks are COMFY! Slipped right on over the stump and my remaining foot and felt nice, no scratchy or too tight issues. Happy smile!
Second, yes, these bad boys are WARM. Dropped below 60 today in Austin TX (that’s freezing in Texas, lol!) and the fake hardwood floor was chilly as heck. Socks fixed that, feet feel cozy now.
Good construction, I think these will easily take a year of heavy wear around the apartment.
California Shopper –
Nice heavy and warm socks and aren’t tight on the legs.

I need foot protection due to circulation and neuropathy issues. These have been part of my armory of socks for a couple years now. Their thickness may preclude use with shoes/boots that aren’t roomy enough. I find they are very good for around the house, and for sleeping. (Although some could find them slippery on wood floors.)
Customer –
Durable, warm and very comfortable with tie work boots.

These socks would have been awesome except they are that thick I would need to by shoes/boots in a larger size to fit with these socks on.

Now that the “experts” have deemed it OK (and even preferable in cooler weather) to wear socks to bed – jeeze! – these are the perfect sleep socks. Even when I take short naps in the afternoon, I put them on because my feet just miss them if I don’t! No other socks are good enough for this fine recreational activity.

Great socks for anyone, but especially nice for someone with diabetic feet issues. Comfy and thick enough and really nice looking. Wash up beautifully. Not restrictive at all. I’ve already ordered these two times.

I love these socks! I suffer from a painful neuropathy in my feet due to nerve damage from chemo and most diabetics socks I had tried were so thin which is ok for summer months but not for winter in upper midwest. These socks are nice and thick yet warm and comfortable and fit as expected.Great for the cold winter months. I would recommend them to anyone who suffers from any form of neuropathy in your feet.
