This is more than a moisturizer. I use Tate’s Miracle Conditioner as moisturizer and it works well, but my skin drinks it up. I need to reapply several times. This lotion is one and done. I apply it once after a shower and it lasts all night.
The lotion has a medium thickness. It’s not runny, not too thick. It’s minimally oily. I think the oil is what makes it last. It doesn’t leave grease behind, but it does leave a presence. It rubs in smooth. It leaves my skin noticeably refreshed. It actually helps heal the dryness.
This lotion does have a fragrance. It is a feminine fragrance. It smells like my mom’s hand cream. It’s not an offensive smell, just not what I’d choose as a man. I put up with the smell because the effect is worth it.
I’ve used vitamin e oil for skin, and it is so viscous. Not pleasant to apply. This lotion has the benefits of that with an easier application. I believe it is the vitamin e that provides the healing I experience.
I wasn’t aware there’s a vitamin f, but I’m told it means essential fatty acids.
The consistency is similar to sunscreen. It’s more lotion than moisturizer. I thin it with water to use as an all-over moisturizer, and a little goes a long way.

I’m a surgeon, but even though I’m a medical doctor I don’t really know a lot about skin care except that moisturizer and sunscreen are both good ideas. Having said that, I do know that skin care products are a huge business and, similar to supplements and vitamins, they can make a lot of marketing claims that are essentially nonsense.
Probably better than any review I can do for this product, the best thing I can do to help you is to encourage you to do some research on your own about the skin care industry and/or read the book “The Skincare Hoax: How You’re Being Tricked into Buying Lotions, Potions & Wrinkle Cream” (https://www.amazon.com/Skincare-Hoax-Tricked-Lotions-Potions/dp/1510771557?&linkCode=sl1&tag=kevcom-20&linkId=35a8adaf01f702fdea9b76a3f329a1de&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl).
For me, the cream seems like a nice moisturizer. It’s a little thicker than other skin creams, but this isn’t a problem. Has a light scent that I can’t really place – my wife doesn’t like the smell but I don’t mind it. Goes on smoothly. Works just fine.
The issue with these products is always the price; they are expensive. This one is $9 an ounce which puts it on the upper end of the products I browsed on Amazon searching “moisturizer lotion.” This reportedly (I don’t think these products are regulated) has the ingredients of vitamins F and E, and is also “plant based” – which is why it is so expensive. However, a lot of this is just marketing, and what I always wonder is “how much better (if at all) for my skin is this product vs Jergen’s skin lotion,” which is almost 10-20x less expensive? Even if this product is better than the Jergen’s (or a similarly inexpensive lotion), I doubt it’s 20x better. Realistically, in the whole scheme of things, it probably works about the same.
I’m happy to try this out for Amazon Vine, but I will likely save my money and buy something cheaper when it runs out.

I have definitely been able to notice a difference when I use this lotion — my skin is noticeably softer and smoother after use. It is slightly watery, which just means you have to be careful when squeezing it out of the tube — but I could see how it would smooth onto a baby’s skin much more easily than if it were thicker. It absorbs well; and the list of ingredients looks pretty good, which is quite important in a skin product, as you are absorbing it directly into your body! So I can say I feel safe using it.
Now, to the scent: I don’t know why it insists on both the box and the bottle, that it has “0% Fragrance”. Untrue! It has a delightful scent, and my years as a professional aromatherapist told me just what I was smelling — Petigrain, which comes from the Bitter Orange Tree, and is often used as a note in colognes and skin care products. Now, they list in the ingredients the oil of the Bitter Orange (Citrus Aurantium Amara) flower — but they have made a very slight error — the oil from the Bitter Orange flower is known as Neroli, but, like all citrus blossoms, it has a much sweeter scent. Many men might find it too sweet. It is also much more costly. What I am smelling, Petigrain, comes from the leaves and twigs of the very same tree (it is a wonderful tree, with a myriad of uses), and while the scent is still somewhat floral and citrusy, it is a much greener smell, which is great, because that makes it much more universally useable for men as well as women (and babies) — it is the perfect scent that is neither too “masculine” nor too “feminine”, and also is supposed to have uplifting and anti-depressant qualities. It is a light, lovely scent, and while definitely noticeable when using this lotion, it dissipates to a certain extent after awhile.
I would love to continue using this lotion after the bottle runs out, but the cost is prohibitive. So I will just enjoy it while I can!
