I bought this for my 2 yr old daughter to treat her eczema. She was scratching her back a lot and had a lot of open cuts and scratches. The skin silk was great because it immediately hydrates the skin and leaves it super smooth. After I applied it, I noticed the skin healed much faster and she scratched less often. So I think its working pretty well.
I think the only downside is that it doesnt really last long. After about 2 hours or so I have to put more because she starts scratching again.
However, I still think it is a great effective product for eczema.

i was uncertain at first as to the efficacy of this product as a few of the reviews seemed a bit sketchy to me upon first read. that said still went ahead and ordered the product hoping for the best & am glad i did!
the sole reason this was ordered was to help treat a small area of shingles. had no idea what it was when i first got a small spot on my forehead years ago in my 20’s. then over time the area went from just a small discolored spot to a hard red area that was quite painful. initially i tried using pretty much every over the counter skin lotion i could find. nothing at all helped. i then by accident used some convatec lotion i had leftover from a surgery. not a skin cream but rather a moisture barrier type lotion. regardless it worked providing me with relief from the pain if used daily.
problem was that product worked fine for a year or so but barely made an impact towards the end having to apply it multiple times daily. so i had no choice but to try products all over again. one of those i tried before this product was O’Keeffe’s K0700008 Skin Repair Tube, 7 oz on first application it stung and i thought initially it was worse than nothing at all. however after a few minutes the pain went away entirely. the next morning the redness had faded substantially, no pain and the skin was soft. not perfect but close.
then this arrived and my ‘testing’ continued. this product unlike the okeefe’s is very thick, really thick. a similar consistency to say burt’s bees was lip balm. being formulated as such is a good thing in my thinking as it isn’t watered down giving you more bang for your buck. i applied it to the same area and prefer the feel over all others tried. no need to worry about time to let it dry as it goes on and stays the same as it slowly penetrates the skin. i much prefer this type as opposed to a sloppy lotion.
as to effectiveness it hits all the figurative bases. pain gone. skin redness greatly reduced. skin softness again greatly improved. though i will keep the okeefe’s as a backup lotion i will use this as my daily go to for as long as it is available.
FYI though the bottle it comes in a fairly small due to the consistency of the ‘cream’ being like lip balm it will last a very long time even with daily use.

I was looking for something more than Eucerin to help with my eczema – particularly on my hands. I took a chance and bought this and absolutely love it.
It leaves your hands feeling moisturized (but not greasy) for a long time and calms down my eczema. The effects are comparable to the topical steroid I use.
While the container is small — 2oz — a little goes a long way.
I also like the smell — calming rosemary with some olive oil. I will definitely be reordering this.

I’ve had psoriasis for almost 4 years now. It started on my knees and round my ankles. I went to 4 different dermatologists and only got worse. Now it’s all over my body. 😡 I started looking for natural remedies that are safer for your body without damaging anything. I found eating gluten free foods helped and baslamic vinegar helps as well as turmeric curcumin. So over the past 4 months I have seen little improvement but nothing like this product. I have used it for 3 days now and I see big improvements. My skin is softer, not as tender or itchy and not as scaly. The patches are lighter and smoother. I actually have hope now of having beautiful clear skin again. The only downside is that I wish they had bigger jars available. Yes a little goes a long way and when using it all over the body 1 jar may last about 2 weeks. So I will be ordering a few more. All n all 3 days into this added treatment and I’m happy so far. I purchased this product because of the natural ingredients in it. I had been using a wonderful product for years that has been discountinued. I have two dry patches on my skin. The skin gets itchy & inflamed if not moisturized daily. When first rubbing in you can feel a grittiness in the cream. That grittiness disappeared and to my surprise my skin actually became SMOOTH and SILKY!! There is a funny odor & not sure which ingredient has that odor? It’s not awful enough to say that I would not recommend, because I would definetly recommend trying it out!
