Unisom works great. It works just as described on the packet. When I take the tablets, they melt quickly, and in a few minutes, I’m fast asleep. However, it leaves a funny aftertaste, but it works well. Good product.

This med is great. It’s mammal free so it’s one of the only safe diphenhydramine options for those of us with alpha gal syndrome. Problem is there’s a shortage everywhere and then these sellers price gouge on Amazon. So what should cost us $9 is now $30, and if we don’t pay it we could end up hospitalized.

First, I should say I bought these for their allergy relief, not for sleeping. I like these because they travel well, and if I accidentally eat or breathe something I’m allergic to, I can just pop one in my mouth. It dissolves quickly. This product gives me peace of mind. I just wish the pills were more easily liberated from their packaging.

This is a great product if you have a lot in your mind and need a peaceful sleep. When I have a lot on my mind I just will pop one sleep melt on my tongue and I will have a restful night. Great product. They are non habit forming and they don’t make you feel groggy when you wake up the next morning.

I use Benadryl (diphenhydramine HCl 25mg) to make me drowsy or for allergies, but the usual pills or liquid leave a bitter aftertaste, even if swallowed after making brief contact with my tongue. Even the grape-flavored CVS chewables have this problem. The Unisom SleepMelts get around this with lots of cherry flavour in a big pill that can either be chewed or just placed in your mouth and it will quickly dissolve. It does cost quite a bit more than standard tablets or capsules though, and the cards inside the box (8 tablets each, with 2 being the usual adult dosage for sleep or severe allergy use) are difficult to peel open. The pills sometimes break in half trying to get them out. As for efficacy, I find it works well for allergies (when drowsiness isn’t an issue, or is helpful) but only moderately well for insomnia, nowhere near as effective as Ambien but that’s Rx only, very addictive (far more so than opioids or benzodiazepines in my experience), and conflicts with several other meds.

They worked, but like everything else, body becomes immune and no longer works like needed. This is really not a product issue as it is more the person issue.
