Since these strips are for use with my Freestyle Libre and I don’t have to use them all the time, it’s nice that they are individually wrapped in foil. They can be carried in a small space, like a purse of pocket, much easier than a vial. I also love the fact that they do work with my Libre. This way all of my BG results are in one place.

Not even my Walgreens pharmacy did not know there were test strips for the Freestyle Libre unit, used to scan the sensor. In the event you ever need to test your blood sugar to confirm the sensor reading, these work in the little handheld freestyle libre machine or reader that you can purchase with your sensors. Keep in mind that if you’re using the freestyle libre App on your phone you can’t use the reader to scan the sensor too. I like this feature as it keeps me honest, LOL. That being said you can use the handheld reader with the test strips then you could manually enter the reading into the app on your phone.

I started using a Freestyle Libre recently, and needed some test strips. So I typed in “FreeStyle Libre Test Strips” into Amazon & these came up. I ordered these, and I just got them today and almost had a heart attack because the outside of the box says “Use only with FreeStyle Precision Neo Blood Glucose Monitoring System.” Yikes! But after further research, I found out you can use them with the FreeStyle Libre system (I didn’t want to open the box if this wasn’t the case, because I can’t use them otherwise). Tried it, and it worked fine! Whew! Heart attack averted.

Expensive strips, but I think they are all rather pricey. Box was crushed during shipping, product was not damaged.

I had my annual wellness exam on January 7, 2020 and blood sugar was shown to be 86 based on doctors test. I checked my blood sugar at home (using the Freestyle Precision Neo Blood Glucose Test Strips} prior to going to the exam and the result was 84. This is probably as accurate as you could hope for with a home test. Last year when I did the same test the difference was about 10 points off. Good news is I am not diabetic and plan on staying that way even if I have to eat nothing but cabbage. Cheers & all the best.

I have three meters and this one always reads 20 points higher than the other two or even the CGM in my arm? Don’t understand why?

These have got to be the worst strips I have ever used. Over the years I have used 6 different brands. They take a large sample and are difficult to fill. I must have wasted 1/3 of them.
The only reason that I used them is that I started FreeStyle Libre 14 day Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM). They are compatible with the reader they provide. The reader is not that great either. I recommend using the cell phone app instead and your favorite strips.
For the best strips I have used are the Accu-Chek Guide. There are several versions of the Accu-Chek. Make sure and use the Guide version. The strips for it cost less on Amazon than the deductible on my insurance. And, they are the easiest I have ever used.
