Nasal irrigation (washing out your sinuses) is one of the healthiest things you can do for your human body. If you work construction, paint for a living, work in dusty conditions or around smoke, this process will help you breathe easier and combat germs and irritation in the nasal passages. You’ll be able to smell things, flavor, scents, and your girl a whole lot better! Besides, it helps your body to keep the bad germs at bay.
Of course, you’ll also need an electric Water Pik, to which you will have to attach the sinus irrigator. You’re not going to drown in the process. Most people have an alternate passage in the nose wall (hardcore cocaine users only have one hole). while you irrigate one nostril, the solution will pass through to the other side or the sinus wall, and down your nostril into the sink. For best results, alternate nostrils while doing the flush.
I’d recommend using lukewarm water to fill the Water Pik tub, and for first time users, add a tablespoon of baking powder into the solution, and flush with that. Some people use table salt (teaspoon instead of tablespoon) while they get used to the process. regular cleaning helps. Some steady users may switch to Alkolol, but keep it at a minimal dose until you get used to that product.
What you DON’T want to do is try to blow your nose HARD after the irrigation, as this can backup fluids into your ear canal

Bought this spare tip for my husband who started using my irrigator when he got a cold last year. Great machine and great service with the spare parts.

I bought this tip from Amazon after reading the online description that said that it would work with most Waterpik models. Turns out the model I had was not one of them (I have a small portable travel version that uses a smaller diameter tip). I realized this before opening the package and was able to return it to Amazon for a refund. The five star rating is for the Amazon return policy. This is the first time I have had to use it and it worked great. Thanks Amazon!
As for my existing Waterpik, I was able to adapt one of the existing tips to work as a nasal irrigator – not as well as this one would have worked – but I was able to put an old, otherwise unused, Waterpik to use.

Fixing my husband’s snoring has been an issue. He has made a nearly permanent bed on the sofa. 🙁 The neti pot was helping, but just not quite working well enough. I was getting a water pik anyway, so I found this attachment. Be careful with which water piks you get it with. It won’t work with the WP-100 model (I think it’s called), but works just fine with our WP-60W. He fills the reservoir, attaches the irrigator thing, and uses it pretty much like a neti pot on steroids. The whole process takes way less time. The first few times that he used it his sinuses produced things that no sinuses ever should. That cleared up after a few uses and now it’s back to normal, just a lot faster and it seems to be more effective (between the snoring spray I make for him and this stuff, maybe we’ll actually be able to sleep in the same bed now?!?).
I read so many bad reviews about the nasal irrigators that are made especially for the purpose. It was very nice to find an attachment that went with the water pik that I was getting anyway. Highly recommended.

The quality seems fine but if you are looking for a replacement for the Grossan CN – 120, this doesn’t work. The diameter is a little bit larger and the insertion length is longer. So it just won’t fit in at all.

Purchased this to work with my waterpik to avoid too many appliances on the bathroom counter. (Models of compatible Waterpiks are listed in fine print on this ad.) Works fantastic; just set Waterpik on “lowest setting” to use it for cleaning nasal passages/sinus. Saline solution recipes are available online; basically use 2/3 teaspoon non-iodized salt plus 1/3 teaspoon baking soda to 1 cup (8 Oz) warm distilled (or previously boiled) water. Make use to clean Waterpik after using it with saline solution by running clean water through Waterpik afterward. (Helpful hint: I use this attachment with the small tank that came with my inexpensive “professional” Waterpik model and homemade saline solution noted previously. When done, I rinse the tank and use pure tap water with the normal Waterpik tip to water floss around my teeth and gums, which also cleans the saline solution out of the Waterpik at the same time.)

It broke as soon as I opened the package. Going to have to reorder a different one now

I purchased this Sinupulse sinus tip to use with my Waterpik machine for sinus irrigation. Works very well. except you do have to take the rubber tip off the sinupulse stem and slip it onto a Waterpik tip stem because water will leak from incompatibility. The Waterpik tip is curved and won’t line up with the hole in the sinus tip perfectly, but you get the same water pressure. I purchased a Waterpik instead of the Sinupulse machine because of water pump/motor issues and the warranty. I found in my research that many folks had issues with the Hydropulse and Sinupulse machines leaking and inevitably completely breaking anywhere between 6 and 14 months of regular use, and it only has a 1 year warranty- so if it breaks afer 12 months, you’ve got to spend another $100 for a new machine. The Waterpik has a 2 year warranty, and costs between $50 and $70 less, depending on which Waterpik model you buy. It was a no-brainer to go with the Waterpik and a sinus tip for sinus irrigation, which is a life-saver if you have moderate to severe sinus problems/allergies. I am very happy.

This works great in a regular water pik or a nasal irrigation system. I used mine for at least 8+ years just like this and I broke it.
This tip will slow the flow of the high velocity water pik so you can use it with your sinuses. Works SO MUCH better than those bottles.
I have had 2 sinus surgery’s and this is what both doctors recommended LONG before the bottles hit the market.
This little tip can save you $100’s of dollars in a nasal pik. Just use it with your existing water pik.
