ShiKai is a great shower gel for sensitive and dry skin. It does a thorough job cleansing, while the moisturizers keep skin from becoming dry. It is naturally scented, rinses off well, and has become one of my favorite cleansers for skin.

I was a bit worried when I received this. I took off the cap and gave it a good sniff, excited to smell a lovely sandalwood scent. Nothing. Oh, no! I was so looking forward to this – I’ve loved the scent of sandalwood since I was a child. Well, I know this is a good brand, so I decided to take a shower with it before deciding if I wanted to return it. Lo and behold – apparently the scent activates when you suds up the gel! It was lovely, not overpowering. The suds were nice, and I felt very clean, yet moist. I have dry skin, but this was great. My skin was left soft and moisturized. It left a hint of sandalwood scent without being overpowering. I don’t like a shower gel that is overly perfumed. If I want more scent, I would layer on some perfume and I don’t want it to clash. Definitely will keep buying this.

Only downside was it took ages to arrive (within the timescale quoted but not really sure why it takes 3 weeks odd) and so his Christmas present was late.

This a nice body wash, foams up well, moisturizes, not irritating, but there is so very little scent to it. If you want a good body wash but aren’t concerned that it doesn’t have the scent that is advertised, buy it. I gave it 3 stars because I almost never give 5 stars unless the product is above and beyond, so start at 4 stars and subtract 1 for lack of scent.
