I got these for my vehicle and camper. As a diabetic on multiple injection medications having sharps containers in your car, house, and camper is a must. In my house I have a big sharps container in a wall thing like a doctor office but having something smaller for the car is a good idea.

This container is perfect. It can hold more than 100 pen needles or at least 10 Trulicity type injectors. I don’t use actual syringes but I can imagine it can hold at least 25 of them.

The lid is easy to open one handed which is a good feature. There are 2 plastic things on the side – probably for some sort of bracket to hold it? I’m planning on using a command style hook in my camper to hold it on the wall – this spring, too cold right now LoL

Having this size sharps container in your vehicle is a good idea. If you’re not a needle user just stick it in the trunk. There has been about 5-6 times I’ve been in a shopping center and seen needles on the ground in the past 3 years. When that happens I have to pick it up (carefully with napkins) and take it into a store for disposal. With this sharps container in my car I can dispose of it myself. It’s just a fact of life that medical waste may be discarded in public and I’d rather clean it up then leave it to pollute. I really wish more restrooms would have sharps containers for people to discard of things safely.

One problem with sharps containers is in small towns it’s hard to figure out where to dispose. If you g00gle search what to do with it when full they will say to take to a fire station, hospital, doctor office, or police station. I have tried all of those and have been told no in each place. I have to duct tape it up and dispose in my regular trash. The duct tape is not necessary but always makes me feel better. Just keep that in mind.

I highly recommend this for everyone but especially if you take injection medications.

Exactly what I wanted, thank you

I ordered this sharps container product the other day, and boy am I just very happy. I mean, it has a *very* specific purpose: safely contain used sharps materials in tamper-proof containers. If it doesn’t do that well… then its not really a sharps container. So, I opened the box (box slightly damaged in transport, not affecting the actual product) and found three extremely nice containers. They are approximately 6″ tall by 3″ wide, so they are large enough to hold most materials. The total volume is one quart, so I expect it will take a good amount of time to fill it before requiring disposal. By design, the lid holds FIRMLY on to the base – no need to get back in there once you have thrown something away, right? This is an imperative requirement, and these do well. Note in my image I have not attached all the tops yet, so I can easily store the other two until I need them. Finally, once the container is full, the top can shut permanently by design.

Here are the questions I considered:
Does it do the job? You bet.
Are there three of them? Absolutely.
Is it worth the money? Most definitely.

One point of note: other sharps containers have a “return box” so that you can ship the box to a facility for disposal. This is not the case with these sharps containers. Once full, you will need to take to a local facility for disposal in your area. This isn’t a problem.. just worth mentioning.

If you need a sharps container, this is the product to buy.

    FINAL THOUGHTS
    ***OH SO!***
    * Three sharps containers!
    * Lid attaches firmly to the top after attaching
    * Plenty of volume to hold sharps materials

    ***SO-SO***
    No ship/disposal packaging option

    ***NOT SO***

My cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and so I am very new to the problem of sharps disposal. I selected this offering as it seemed to be one of the more reasonably-priced options. The containers are large enough to have a decent capacity (I couldn’t find a # anywhere on the packaging or description and I didn’t literally count but I’d guess maybe 100-150 per box?). They are also small enough that they don’t take up your whole kitchen counter (which is where I keep it, since I give the cat his shot right after I feed him).

I do wish, as a newbie, that there were some instructions. So, learn from my mistakes: The package comes with one container already with the top on, and the other two containers are stacked with the tops separate. I should have been able to figure it out, but I didn’t, that it would have been better to leave the others NOT assembled until I was ready to use them. Once you put the top on, it stays on. And once you close it, it stays closed. I know, it is probably obvious, but I didn’t realize until I had assembled them all and so for a while, I had the two others taking up more space than necessary. Not the end of the world, and lesson learned. 🙂

I also don’t really understand the purpose of the different shaped holes on the top. This is probably my ignorance and it didn’t really create a problem. I just put all my needles in through the large hole and that seemed to work fine.

If you’re giving 2 shots per day, that’s a lot of sharps, and you will find yourself reordering, so the price point at least will help to keep the expense manageable.

Recently diagnosed type2 & didn’t get told what to do with the insulin needles.. I will look for a drop off when they fill up .. they hold more than I thought

Like the smaller size of these containers.
    They do th3 trick. 😎

Better than using old bottles. I intend to try and take this to a local pharmacy for disposal.
