I am an instant convert to Sarna’s Eczema Lotion! It is just the right thickness to spread easily while providing good coverage. It absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy film but still provides adequate protection to my skin. Colloidal Oatmeal 2% is a high potency formula and seems to really help.
I like that it manages to smell good while still being unscented, just a bit of the jojoba and shea butter lending a rich slightly sweet smell without added perfume

If you’re a fan of Aveeno Daily Moisturizing lotion, you will enjoy Sarna Eczema Relief Skin Protectant Lotion. The texture of both unscented lotions is similar, with an oatmeal base that rubs in well, leaving a light silicone protective layer for long lasting hydration. Sarna is a little less greasy. But the main difference here is the ingredient list. With Sarna, water is at the end of the ingredient list rather than at the beginning, plus they add Acetyl Heptapeptide-4, a probiotic ingredient meant to enhance your skin biome, making it stronger and less likely to itch. I also did not see any petrolatum in Sarna’s formulation. At $13.49 for 7.5oz, Sarna Eczema Relief’s value reflects its more premium ingredients. I’d definitely look for this again.

This lotion is nice and thick, a little goes a long way. I used it during a bit of a flare up and found that it works to soothe quickly which was very much appreciated. Little bit of a scent to it, but nothing harsh or unpleasant. The bottle is a great size, since I only have a few problem areas, this should last a while.

I thought the original Sarna might be back. This colloidal oatmeal version does not help my itches. The original Sarna lotion used to have camphor and menthol. We bought about 12 bottles a year, sometimes more, for our family and crew on the farm. It was great for ALL itches, eczema, allergies, but especially bug bites. We used it like crazy on poison too. The brand was purchased from Stiefel Labs in 2018 by Crown Labs. That was the year we stopped buying it. They totally reformulated it but kept the name. Like, who does that? It was no longer Sarna. The only ingredient left the same is menthol. Since then, I’ve actually resorted to mixing my own anti itch lotion using other items to make a decent product, and it includes both camphor and menthol.
When I saw this Sarna, I though I’d give it a go. It stinks, literally and figuratively. It does not smell good, nor does it work to relieve itching skin. At $13.49 for only 7.5 oz, it’s very overpriced for something that doesn’t even work.

This lotion goes on easily and absorbs well, leaving a protective layer on your skin that is not greasy. It is very soothing and feels hydrating. The smell is pleasant, but it is not scented with perfumes. It works well to soothe itchy or irritated skin and is a brand I trust. This large tube will last me a long time!

Pretty good sized tube which makes this a good value for money. Not greasy and a nice subtle smell. Tried it on and my goodness did it help with an itch – plus moisturized so this is an awesome tube! Would recommend

Works really well, I found it very quickly helped relieve and sooth my skin. The formula is very gentle and not too greasy and I enjoy the light scent as well. Highly recommend this! It’s a god send!

This cream is a good value. The tube it comes in is huge, and you only need a little toothpaste-sized dollop of cream to cover a good area. I’ve had an itch on my ear the past couple weeks that this helps with, and we used it for my daughter when she had a diaper rash. It helped with both, but especially with my daughter’s rash. She had a big red splotch the size of a grapefruit and it cleared up pretty quickly after putting this stuff on. The cream applies evenly without being overly “goopy,” leaving your skin feeling refreshed and moisturized with little to no residue. I can tell it’s made with quality ingredients. It is also unscented, which is ideal for us when we have kids and a dog. Highly recommend!
