This is a chemical based SPF 50 sunscreen that meets TSA size restrictions. Goes on and rubs in well, no white cast since it’s chemical based.
I don’t normally use lip balm, but I like the overall theme and fun packaging, so gave it a try. My lips just never get burned, but I would think this would work for people with sensitive lips.
So nice overall product, fun packaging and theme, but $30 is pretty pricey for a SPF 50 sunscreen with nothing really special about it other than the fun theme.

Purchased online and received both the sunscreen and lip balm in the super original box with the sticker tag as well. All 3 were immediate favorites for the littles ones in the house – so much that we all had to divide out who would get what! (spoiler – I got the sunscreen and the lip balm, but the sticker & designer box went to the little ones)!

All I can say is that during a 12 day beach trip, the only day I got sunburn anywhere, was the day I decided to try this sunscreen. It was the day with the least amount of sun, and least amount of exposure hours. So, take that info as you will. I am someone who is diligent with sunscreen. I apply every hour when on the beach or outdoors for hours on end. I don’t swim in the ocean. I wear sunscreen in the house. I am very religious about sunscreen, so I know my sunburned areas are not due to my own negligence. The only thing I did different was use this sunscreen that day. I purposely waited for a less sunny, lower UV day, and a day that we went out late in the day around 4pm. Still got red. Shocking to say the least.

A special shout-out to “Rabbit” and the Holden Beach Surf Crew in North Carolina. Rabbit and his crew run a surfing school in Holden Beach and are on the ocean for 7 days a week, 9-hour shifts, on the sand, in the sea and direct sunlight for the past 8 years. They haven’t been able to find a sunscreen that would work for them under these grueling conditions and had contacted us through our Facebook page offering to put Death Tan to the test. This was the perfect sunscreen for me & my family. We recently used it on a week long vacation where we spent hours on hours at the beach and pool, I am glad to say that I did not get sun burnt. It worked out great for my daughter who sometimes has sensitive skin. Her skin was not irritated and the smell was pleasant for all of us. Would definitely recommend
