I was disappointed with how big and bulky it was….and the handle is very inconvenient…truth of the matter, I hate it it doesn’t grind pills into fine powder the way it was advertised.

I purchased this last week for somebody who needs pure powder in order for them to be able to swallow without gagging on any tiny pieces of a chunky pill.
First off- the setting to choose how fine the pill will be crushed works great.
Secondly – it’s extremely easy to use from putting the pill inside if it to rotating the rotator pice …a 100 year old with no strength can easily use this product.
Overall I like the product and could recommend it to anybody who needs a pill crusher. It is made from good quality metal as well and can’t vision it breaking anytime soon. 👍 👍 👍

The media could not be loaded.
So I got this to crush some unrefined salt that had larger grains that would not dissolve in liquid. So I thought if I ground it to a smaller grain it would. After receiving this I tested it immediately with the salt and it ground this salt, that was already pretty fine, to an even finer grain. And this definitely helped with dissolving these larger salts.
Although it’s a hand grinder, you can actually fit a good amount of stuff in the chamber to grind. Adjusting the size of grain is easy, just turn the knob on the bottom (see my video) until you can see the space between the two ceramic surfaces get larger. It’s a little trial and error with the size because there’s really no specific settings.
As you can see in my video, I crushed a bunch of large pills using the finest setting. And although it took a few back and forth turns because the pills were so large, it ground it up to a fine powder.
WARNING: Fairly easy to clean, but I would stick to products that are completely dry. I tried crushing some old popcorn flavored salt that was all clumped up due to it absorbing some moisture and I had a hard time cleaning it after because it stuck to all the ceramic. So make sure whatever you put in there is very dry.
Also IF you have to take it apart to clean it make sure to remember the order of disassembly because if you put it back together wrong the ceramics get a little lop sided and it doesn’t crush as evenly. Learn from my mistakes! There’s a spring inside this that needs to be placed specifically back the way it was. If anything, avoid having to take it apart, which means not putting anything moist inside this.
By keeping this dry you really don’t have to wash it that much, if at all. Just tap it lightly upside down or use a dry toothbrush to lightly brush the exposed ceramic grinder. I can’t stress enough to never use this when still wet or damp. If you do wash it make sure it’s completely dry, or else the product will stick to the ceramics and clog it up.
Overall I’m very pleased with this hand grinder and the size of grain it crushes product into.

This crusher handles medium to small pills. But with the larger pills, one must resort to crushing with a hammer AND THEN put into the pill crusher. Leaves me wondering why I just didn’t crush all the pills with a hammer.
Another more serious problem is that after using for a couple of months the edges to the two units start to stick together when attempting to remove your semi-crushed pills – but that’s not the serious situation. With the dismantling of the unit the edges to the two components, being metal, become fairly sharp and one must be mindful upon reassembly with the pieces sticking as they do one’s first response is to apply force. One slip and a laceration is easily foreseeable, unfortunately though not until it’s too late and you’re bleeding all over the counter and your pills!
I’m currently in the market for a new pill crusher thats gets the job done in a safer manner and more efficient manner.

At 57 years old I found myself needing to have my tonsils removed. While I cannot recommend any adult doing that! I CAN highly recommend this pill crusher! For 2 weeks I have needed to have both my regular daily pills as well as my pain pills crushed up so I can mix them with pudding. Chocolate pudding is my personal favorite to mask the flavor but to each his own. This pill crusher smashes the pills quickly with just a few turns of the handle. It gets an A++ from me!

10 vitamin size pills all ground at the same time, just as they are, no cutting first. End result is not the same consistency, some powder, some shavings, some crumbles, which may be a problem.
Grinder works well for medicating my animals that won’t take pills.
