This pill cutter really helps to keep pills centered either single pills or multiple pills. The problem when cutting pills in the traditional style pill cuter is that if the sides are too stiff, they don’t hold the pill centered and the same if the sides are too flimsy. This cutter has silicone sides that are just right and the clamping mechanism holds the pill perfectly centered.
It seems manufacturers are on to us when we buy larger pills and cut them. They tend to crumble if there is any movement of the pill. With one pill I’ve tested it with that is surplus supply, it had no line etched in it like many pills and in a cutter, it consistently had one side too big or crushed the pill sides because the blade was not very sharp. This cutter held the pills either 1, 2, 3 or 4 at a time and cut them centered and sharp enough not to crumble the edges. I would be less likely to cut 3 or more pills with most types regardless. mis-cutting pills can be an expensive error.

This pill splitter did not work well for me. I choke on large pills so I either have to cut them or avoid them. The problem pills are the long tablets like calcium and Tylenol. This cutter splits them lengthwise and cannot handle these tablets without crushing. However, if you have smaller pills, this product should do an adequate job of splitting your pills.

I’m used to the pill cutter where it looks like a triangle inside, but this pill cutter is another level. It allows you to cut more than one pill simultaneously. It also holds it securely in order to get precise cuts for any shape. It doesn’t even matter if your medication is scored or not; it still cuts it in half if placed correctly. It’s really small and compact, so it’s convenient for traveling. For safety reasons, I like that the blade is hidden.

Love how this holds the pills in place to make them easy to cut. Especially when trying to quarter some pills. It also has a long blade, so you can split multiple pills at once. I always hated having to cut pills and position them perfectly, just to have them slip at the last second and mess them up.

I like that you can cut several pills at the same time and that they cut cleanly. I wish it could store more pills than it does, but that’s not a deal breaker. At this time, this product is under ten dollars so that’s a plus as well.

I guess I should have read the description of this product more thoroughly because I didn’t realize it only works for small pills. I need to split large calcium pills and other similar tablets, and they don’t fit at all. It is also quite large for a pill splitter and would not be the most convenient if you had to carry it with you or use it for travel. The blade is effective and can chop multiple small pills at once, so if that is what you are looking for, this could be a good purchase for you.

While this pill splitter worked well at first, it unfortunately broke after continued use. It was accurate and easy to use initially, but it didn’t hold up over time, which was disappointing.
