I recently ordered the ONE-CARE Plus Safety Pen Tips (30G x 5mm) for my husband, and they have exceeded our expectations. The universal design makes them incredibly easy to use, and they fit the pen perfectly. What we really appreciate is how these tips keep the needle at the right angle, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience every time. It gives us peace of mind knowing that we’re using a reliable product. We would definitely recommend these safety pen tips to anyone looking for a quality option that makes medicine administration simpler!

I’ve been on compounded semaglutide (wegovy) since July and prefer to use a insulin pen for my injections since it is much easier. The rub is with traditional pen needles it can be easy to not inject yourself deep enough and end up with what looks like a bug bite if you prefer to keep your needles on the 5mm/4mm short side. A lot of that is just technique but I wished there was a better way. Along the way I found these new kind of safety needles that make it much easier to inject yourself since you have to be centered and push all the way down. I’ve been using these new safety needles and I love it. I have not had any issues with medicine leaking or not going deep enough and ending up with a bug bite full of medicine. One thing to know if you use these needles is there is a safety mechanism and once you push the tube (the one protecting the needle but not part of the cover) when the tube comes back up it locks. What that means is if you push down that tube more than half way down and then lift the needle off your skin the tube won’t go down anymore and you might have to swap out the needle. In other words once you start pushing down on the needle you want to commit to pushing it all the way down and injecting. I haven’t wasted a needle yet but I discovered the lock after the first use of the needle. I highly recommend this needle for ease of use. A+

These are very comfortable to use and function as it should. The needles aren’t too long to leave a bruise or give me pain. I don’t bruise with it like I have with others in the past. It’s a pretty universal fit and they’re really good quality also. Great price for the amount that it brings!

For one the needle housing is bulky more so than novofine auto cover pen needles. Also the sheath that covers the needle does not pull back smoothly so you end up using more pressure because you’re not sure if the needle is in completely. The pen needles do work as intended although not very smoothly. I was used to the novofine auto covers but novofine has discontinued them. It may just take getting used to but I will still be looking for a better safety needle.

These One-Care pen needles work well. I am used to using BD Nano needles which do not have a safety cap feature, so there is no chance of the needle not penetrating my skin. The One-Care safety shield must be completely retracted to make sure that the needle will enter the skin to the correct depth. It just takes a little practice and getting used to if you’ve never used this type of needle. I need to press the needle shield down hard to ensure that the full insulin dose is delivered.
The needles attached fine to both my Humalog and Lantus pens. The only thing I did not like was that these needle housings are very large compared to a standard BD Nano pen needle (see photo – BD on the right). The One-Care will not fit through the opening of a small 1 1/2 quart Sharps disposal container. You have to have a disposal container that has a larger opening.

These pen needles are overall pretty decent. As a nurse, I appreciate the built in the safety housing. It DOES take some getting used to especially if you have never used safety needles before. When you push needle down into the injection site, the needle housing retracts and the needle comes out. If you do not disperse even pressure or try to do it too quickly, there could be some issues like others have stated in their reviews. If you take your time and follow the directions, you should encounter no problems unless you received a true dud which happens.

These do not work. It’s supposed to retract when you press it into your skin – it does not retract. So it looks like you’re getting your dose – and it’s painless – because the needle never breaks the skin. It seems like you’ve gotten your dose, but it must be retained within the needle cover. My glucose reading next day reflected this!

These ONE-CARE Plus Safety Pen Tips are a singe use needle tip with a retractable needle tip cover. The premise here is, you pull the cap off, push it in your skin and the grey cover slides into the tip as you insert the needle. Then as you remove the needle, the grey cover retracts and covers the needle tip.
These work, but not great, and not consistently. They are very finicky and if the grey gets press just a small amount, it retracts and locks and the needle needs replaced and can’t be used. The grey part that covers the needle doesn’t recess in far enough, that it doesn’t feel like the needle get deep enough and some of the insulin runs out.
Overall, they work, but I won’t be ordering any more.
