It’s my fault for getting it in bulk without trying a smaller bottle first, but I hadn’t had an old spice product I didn’t like until this. Go for something like Timber, not whatever this strange stuff is.

PERFORMANCE – I intentionally requested this product to review, to step outside my comfort zone. I wanted to see the difference of what my pop used from the little white bottle in the 70’s. WOW! “Raptorstrike” means business! If you told me a year ago I would be reviewing a body wash, I would be sure I needed professional help. I tried a body wash, 3 in 1 thing years ago and it just seemed like they watered down shampoo. Pour it in the hands and if your fingers were not clenched, down the drain. Old Spice “Raptorstrike” is a whole different type of animal, pun intended. It holds together well and I was surprised with the amount of rich lather it produced. It gave me that good clean hot shower refreshing feeling. The big thing is the fragrance. I thought this is probably when I get out my red ink and put it to use in my review notebook. I was so wrong. I was preparing myself with something overpowering with the hint of stale perfume. I was so wrong! Old Spice “Raptorstrike” when washing is very strong but that must be by design because the crisp clean subtle scent hangs in there. I am an old bar of whatever soap and a good back brush, kind of guy. or I was. I don’t think I could ever go back to bar soap again. I am going to evaluate some of their other selections.
It does seem like “Old Spice” has evolved with the times, yet keeping that base crisp, clean fragrance theme, that makes “Old Spice”, well … Old Spice.
In my view there has never even been a good copycat product because they can’t come close. Yes, times have changed since me watching dad shave with amazement and finish the job with a splash from the little bottle with the ship. Old Spice “Raptor Strike” is everything you want and the mild clean fragrance lingers with you throughout the day.
BUY – Inexpensive comparatively and I would say best in its class. I have had more than one compliment on how nice I smell and that is good enough for me. Keep on sailing, “Old Spice”. Job well done.
