Mini Medicine Travel Cooler TSA Approved Insulin Cooler

This is a pretty decent insulin cooler. It’s basically an insulated steel bottle that can be cooled with the usb-powered fan cap or with the included gel bottle insert (or included empty bottle full of ice or cold water). There’s no rechargeable battery included for the fan cap thing, so you either need to keep it plugged into an outlet or provide your own portable power to keep everything cool with it.
One annoyance is that the gel pack that I received doesn’t have the instructions printed on it, as shown in the pics & in the product’s user manual. Now, we’ll have to refer to the manual for these instructions…which is inconvenient.
Other than that, works fine & should be helpful in keeping my dad’s insulin at the right temp when traveling.

The product page has a very limited description of what this is so it was a bit confusing knowing what I would be receiving. Now that I’ve had a chance to try it out, I can clarify that it is an insulin cooler used to store insulin at cold temperatures while away from home.
The unit can be chilled by freezing the included gel packs for six hours. If that is not convenient, it can be chilled by keeping it plugged in to a USB power source. However, it does not contain its own battery so it must stay connected to an external battery the entire time.
Build quality on the unit is solid. It had no problem maintaining the correct temperature using either method.

The medication travel set includes a small thermos-like insulated container, a wall-powered cooling element, a neoprene carrying case, and a few accessories like an extra bottle and a USB power adapter. While the main container does its job keeping medications cool for a while, the overall kit feels mismatched and overpriced for what you get. The cooling device turned out to be useless for me—it only works when plugged into a wall, which defeats the purpose of portable use. Also, the included power adapter is not a true 2A unit; charging current fluctuates around 1A, making it unreliable for phones or other precise electronics. The neoprene case has a strong chemical smell out of the box, and the extra bottle doesn’t have a clear purpose. In the end, I just used the thermos with the regular lid, the case, and the cooling pack—but honestly, I could’ve assembled something similar for less money elsewhere

I received the Rx Mini Green not knowing what to expect from something so small—but don’t let the short name or minimalist description fool you. This little unit packs a serious punch. It’s perfectly sized—compact enough to fit into tight spaces or travel bags, yet roomy enough inside to be genuinely useful.
What really impressed me is how quickly it gets down to temperature. The built-in motor cools fast and efficiently, which is especially useful if you’re transporting temperature-sensitive items or just need something dependable on the go. When I used the gel insert, it maintained a steady temperature remarkably well, adding another layer of reliability.
As for the emergency backup—it’s a bottle you fill with water and freeze. Honestly, it feels a bit redundant since the gel insert does such a good job. That said, I can see it being helpful as a last resort, like if the gel insert gets punctured or misplaced. Not something I plan to rely on, but it’s nice to have a fallback just in case.
Overall, this is a well-designed, functional, and surprisingly powerful little unit that far exceeds what you’d expect from its size. Great value and smart engineering. Highly recommended!

Easy to use, don’t let the instructions confuse you. It’s quite a simple setup when you just look at the pieces. What drew me to this cooler over my zip cooler I normally used for my pens was the electric cooling option. Perfect cooler for taking on vacations, road trips, and even when I’m having a day out with family. Pretty cool to not have to only rely on the ice packs. I put my pens into the lid portion first when using the electric lid, because the lid has a foam padding on it. My picture shows my 2 pens, but I think I could fit 4 in there when using the electric lid.
I like the padded protective sleeve it comes with, and the quality of it seems nice. Overall, very happy with it. I’ve only been using it a few weeks, so I’ll update if anything goes wrong.

The RX Mini Blue by RXCoolers is a compact, stainless steel thermos that offers a sleek design with dimensions of 9.45 x 2.76 x 2.76 inches and weighs 3 pounds. It’s a great insulin cooler for emergencies. Really nicely designed.

This mini cooler eliminates the guesswork of keeping medicine cold while traveling. It works in two ways. It has a rechargeable battery that can be used electronically, making it an excellent option for those who will not have access to refrigeration while traveling. It also has a reusable ice pack for those who only need to keep their medicine cold for a day.
It’s small enough to fit in a carry-on bag. It is stainless steel, and the battery topper has a little weight. It’s not lightweight, but it is portable and easy to use. I recommend it to anyone who needs to travel with medicine.

This mini – medicine cooler works very well. It can be plugged in to cool, or it comes with ice packs. It also is extremely solid and could take a lot of abuse before your medicine would be harmed.
My primary issue with this is not the quality or how it functions, because both of those are excellent! I simply found it frustrating to try to figure out how all of it works, because it is really lacking good documentation. Normally, I might overlook this, but with something that is medical, it seems like you would want to make sure that people understand how to use it properly, so they don’t have to guess.
