I suffer from insomnia induced by anxiety, both in going to sleep and waking up in the middle of the night. This product hasn’t cured my anxiety, but I have a lot more ease in going to sleep, but especially staying asleep for the whole night. When I take regular melatonin, I can get to sleep OK, but I find myself waking up at 2-4AM and not being able to fall back asleep. Now with this product, even if I wake up and use the restroom, I’m still sleepy enough when I go back to bed that I have little trouble falling back asleep.
I have had few occurrences of “melatonin dreams”, but that may be partly due to the fact that this is on the lower end of dosages.
I can’t believe I didn’t search out extended release melatonin in the past. What was I doing for all those years?!

The time release was no better than the melatonin I have been taking. Still wake up 3-4 hours into sleep. And there must be an antihistamine like effect – I keep waking up with very dry mouth! Haven’t had that side effect with my other melatonin.

I’ve been using melatonin now for six months to combat insomnia that I’ve had for over three decades. I found out that my insomnia might be partially caused by blue light robbing melatonin from my system, as I’m a Software Engineer who spends 40+ hours a week in front of the monitor just doing work – this doesn’t even include home use. In the past, I had used 3mg of melatonin and found it made me drowsy for the next two days. So for two years, I didn’t use it. I decided over Christmas vacation to give this another try, and hopefully could use it to take the place of sleeping pills if I could get it to work, and started out with 1mg of Melatonin. That still made me feel drowsy the next day, so I ended splitting that in half, and that worked well. I later ended up finding this product, along with the non-time-release product in Amazon at the 300mcg dose. I love it. I use the immediate release version to get me to sleep within two hours, the this time-release version to keep me asleep, as I have problems both with getting to sleep and staying asleep. I wish there was a 150mcg version, but 300mcg is the lowest dose I have ever found.

I have bought melatonin 3 mg 6 hour time released to try to sleep better.
It had good results. Everything that is stated below applies to life extension melatonin 3mg.
The only diference is that I had or felt, in my case, slightly better results with the 5 mg.
I am a tall and weight 242 pounds. Maybe due to my metabolism and weight, a higher dosage was more appropiate to me.
I have just bought these sleep right 5 mg time released, and
I think it could improve a little more my sleeping quality.
The sensation in the morning is that sleeping could recharge more energy than before.
I use pills for depression and have been having difficulty to sleep well. After these pills,
I wake up feeling less tired and even if I wake during the night, I get back to sleep much faster than before. I do not have that sensation of having a hard time to get to sleep anymore. Maybe I still go to sleep with this feeling, but I can’t remember me fighting to sleep as before after taking these pills. If you feel something close, I think it is worth to give a try. Price is reasonable, affordable. Don’t expect to be totally renewed, but the improvement is measurable. This increase in health quality (daily basis)more than justify the use. Very good cost/benefit. I did not feel sleepy or so sleepy in the following morning as some related even if took them 1:00 AM.

I always have these on hand in case I want to be sure I get a full nights sleep. It doesn’t put me to sleep (I take “Natrol 5mg quick desolve tablests–strawberry” for that). But the Natrol wears off about 3am and I wake up and can’t get back to sleep. If I take one of these as well, it keeps me asleep during the early morning hours. In fact, if I take it too late at night, it makes me a bit groggy when I wake up in the morning, so I prefer to take it earlier (like 9pm) so it wears off by 6am. Works for me.
