The Bio-First Natural Manuka Honey Skin Saver Gel is more like a lightweight cream. The beige-colored comes in a 1.7 ounce pump dispenser. It contains manuka honey, manuka oil, aloe vera, milk thistle, and a variety of botanicals. It was easy to spread, but instead of being soothing, it irritated my skin. There may be one or more of the ingredients that irritates my skin.

Saw on tiktok and had to get my poor kids had the worst sun burn I was so afraid it would have them feeling so uncomfortable while healing and how their skin would look after but this stuff is now in our emergency kit and summer bags, pricey but worth it but it does make your skin look like a bad tanner so maybe use at night

My son is a cook. His hands are all red/dry/ cracked and I thought this would be a gentle way to help them heal. Instead, they would become redder and burn. Also, he said it was very sticky. He threw it away. I’m only giving a two star because I’m not sure if it can be used on burns. DO NOT USE ON BURNS OR IF YOU HAVE CUTS.

This does appear to be very natural. Unfortunately the consistency and appearance resemble snot and it’s not the loveliest of scents either. I do have a bit of an overactive olfactory system. There is a slight smell of honey, but combined with the other ingredients it just is not a great smell. Luckily it fades fast, except the honey scent.
The lotion gel has a bit of grit feeling to it.
I did try it on my face and it there was no adverse reaction. It does moisturize, it does soothe. I personally find the benefits of Manuka honey to outweigh the smell or appearance of this gel, and my skin looks and feels better when I use it.

I’ve been using Manuka honey product for my skincare routine for about 3 years now and this product is by far my favorite one. The smell is very relaxing and very soothing for my skin. This product worked perfectly for my Girlfriend and I. The price is reasonable for this All Natural Non-Toxic Gel. I can’t wait to try out other products from this brand!

I’ve been a big fan of using Manuka Honey for skin irritations and for everyday skin hydration. After trying another Bio-First product with great success I thought I’d give this a try and it didn’t disappoint. I found the herbal sent to be soothing and preferable over synthetic fragrances many moisturizers use.

I’ve been eating New Zealand Manuka Honey for its widespread health benefits for 10 years. Then, I started using quality Manuka Oil in my skincare routine, and now a medical-grade version is in BIO-FIRST’s Natural Manuka Honey Skin Saver Moisturizer Gel. There’s nothing like it: raw and unprocessed is best and at least a 10+ UMF rating for purity. The medical grade rating is the low end of high potency for therapeutic use, so points for that. Every ingredient in this gel is some kind of anti-inflammatory capable of treating a variety of skin issues like skin- prone eczema, rosacea, or psoriasis : milk thistle for skin rashes, aloe for soothing, coconut oil for anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, and manuka honey and oil (both are anti-inflammatories and antibacterials that balance pH level and treat infected wounds, burns, eczema and other skin problems).
This potent gel zeroes in on most any skin inflammation issue, without a prescription. The blend of botanicals lends a medicinal herb smell, most likely from the Manuka ingredients (the honey comes from bees that feed on the Tea Tree plant in New Zealand and Australia). Straight up, I hate the smell and it doesn’t dissipate. I won’t mind it as much on other parts of my body, but not on the face. The fleshy color also comes from Manuka Honey, which neither tastes, smells, nor looks like regular honey. It’s dark, dense, and gritty. By itself, Manuka Honey is very potent, and capable of wound healing, soothing sore throats, preventing tooth decay and improving digestive issues, among other things. It really can do it all. I take a tablespoon raw a day, and have no doubt about its medical grade powers topically on the skin, although I’m NOT a fan of anything that even smells remotely medicinal and herbal, so that’s a bridge for me to cross.
This gel aspires to be more than just a cure for skin issues, but also a moisturizer. However, I’m reserving it totally for its therapeutic capabilities and efficacy. Does it work? Yes, it did on me with immediate effects that I didn’t get with any other treatment. I put it through a rugged test to handle inflammation, redness and pain and it passed with flying colors. The honey comes from New Zealand but the formula is manufactured in Australia, which is totally believable. Generally, New Zealand Manuka Honey is considered the best and most potent, but not in all cases.
I totally believe in the healing properties of all the ingredients, especially the honey and coconut oil, and recommend this gel despite the odor. Great price because it worked for me and my needs. I also encourage everyone to include Manuka Honey in their lives, nutritionally and non-therapeutic skincare. Just be sure to always get quality ingredients.
