Read a ton of reviews on other similar coolers that claimed 24h+ cooling. I needed one that will stay within refrigeration temp for 24 hours during my international travel. For other coolers, many wrote that it only stayed cool for a few hours. A reviewer on another product mentioned this brand and came here to find this. Bought it, tested it following the directions (leave the freezer pack out for 10 min before putting inside to avoid freezing medication), and was at 44F 24 hours later. It works! Yes you’ll need to pry out the temperature thing to replace the battery and chance from C to F. Yes it was annoying AF to get out, but use the thinner side of the pry bar and twist once you get it under and keep going around til it pops out.

The Insulin Cooler Travel Case is an excellent way to keep your mind at ease while traveling with insulin. Because of the built-in temperature sensor, you can know the exact temperature your insulin is being stored at, you do not need to worry if your insulin is becoming warm. To use this travel case, put the bottle and the Bio-Gel Ice Pack in the freezer the day before you travel. This ensures that the bottle starts out as cold as possible. Then on travel day, place the ice pack and your insulin in the bottle while making sure the temperature probe is hanging down into the bottle.
After reading a few other reviews I see there is some confusion about the instructions. The bottle comes with a pry bar to remove the temperature sensing assembly. As shown in the pictures I added to my review, gently slide the pry bar under the edges of the thermometer assembly and slide it up and pull it out. When removed, you can access the backside to power it off, change between C° & F°, and to replace the battery.
One important thing to note about the cooler bottle that is not addressed in the instructions is that because of the design and how the thermometer assembly is constructed, IT IS NOT WATERPROOF AND SHOULD NEVER BE USED TO STORE LIQUIDS. If used for liquids it will damage the thermometer and slowly leak around the edges of the thermometer assembly.

The temperature portion broke immediately the first time I tried to take it out to adjust it and put it back in. The rest of the canister works great.

Simple and effective thermos to store medicine during travel. Thermostat arrives with temperature probe already powered (by a small battery). Depending on how long this was in storage at the warehouse will determine how long it before the battery dies and needs to be replaced.
On that note, they do include a replacement battery as well as two plastic pry bars to remove the thermostat from the top. I tried to remove the thermostat from the lid without causing damage and it was very difficult. I guess that also means the thermostat fits well and won’t come out accidentally.

For my needs, this is perfect. I am a simple user. I just need to get from the store to home with the lantus pen cool and good. I tend to buy a box at a time, and all 5 pens fit in with the ice in. It is a little tight, but it can be done.
Love that the lid is easy to remove. Monitors temperature well. Light and easy to carry. I can see it sweeping past TSA without issue. Simple design and easy to read, replace a battery if needed. Everything about this is great.

This Insulin Cooler Travel Case is so handy. It’s easy to use, after reading the instructions, and clearly displays the temperature on the lid. The tool they included to remove the top seems too thick. I found that a sliding a butter knife or metal nail file under the lip and turning it, made it easier to get off.
On the under side of the temperature display, there’s a button to turn the display on/off, and one to change the display from Celsius to Fahrenheit. That’s also where the battery compartment is. It arrived with the batteries inside, and came with two replacements.
I ordered it to use, when I pick up my migraine injectable. It has to stay below 46 degrees. I tested it, to see how long it stayed cold. After placing the ice pack in the freezer for 24
hours, it started at 32 degrees. The temp in my house during the time I tested it, was 64-67. The bottle was at 42 degrees, 35 hours later, and 57 degrees at 48 hours. So, it doesn’t stay cold for 48 hours, as the description says, but I only need it to keep my injectable cold for a few hours, so it’s perfect for that. Just a heads up, it only holds one dose of Emgality.
I love the lavender color, and the carrying handle is nice.
Recommended, as long as you don’t need it to stay cold a full 48 hours.
Our Eclectic Life –
This is similar to a standard stainless steel insulated water bottle apart from the thermometer in the lid. It also seems pretty standard in the design of the cooling pack. I’ve had good luck with this maintaining a proper temperature for medications. The part that I really like is the thermometer which really gives me peace of mind. Changing the units to °F or turning it off is awkward because you have to pry the thermometer out of the lid first. Otherwise, no complaints. Good construction and materials and it functions properly.
It took a minute to get the thermometer out of the lid when I first received it. The default setting is in °C. I found that if I ran the little lever tool that comes with it around the thermometer, I could find a side with enough of a gap that I could get the lever underneath. Then it was a matter of running the lever around the thermometer and putting something else under it as well so that I didn’t lose progress on one side as I pulled the other farther up. I just used something stiff and narrow. The back of a butter knife was what I had on hand and that worked nicely. I wish that the thermometer had arrived in the off setting. At least they include an extra battery so it’s not a huge problem if the first one is low when you get it. The thermometer can be turned off, but it requires removing it from the lid.
