I use these for off road dirt bike racing and for easier things like hiking and golf especially when it’s hot outside. They don’t make you a superhuman but they do clear you head when your decision making starts to slow down. The first time you think “how much longer or how much farther”, jam a couple of these down your throat and those thoughts vanish. I buy them in bulk in the large boxes. You can find decent sales if you watch and wait.

Good flavor, and the formulation really works to get me going and keep me going on the trail when I’m biking.
Only one weakness, which might make me lean toward a competitor – the tab you have to rip off the top is annoying. It slows me down gets my fingers sticky, since I don’t want to litter. After I eat the gel, I tuck the top tab back into the opening where the gel squeezes out before stuffing the package back in a pocket for later disposal. One of the other brands has a clever little “leash” on the tab, so it doesn’t get away.
