A thin gauge lancet that doesn’t hurt too much if you properly adjust the depth setting on your lancing device. I use a cheap $5 Reli-on device from Wal-mart with these, and they work fine together. I doubt you’ll find a better lancet at a lower price than this; I’ve been using them for years (6.5 years, to be precise).

These twist lancets at 33 gauge are very sharp and less painful than others used. The only downside (and it may have been the batch) is that the plastic twist-off protector sticks to the lancet requiring pulling it away from the lancet. Because the parts are so small, this stickiness makes it possible to stick yourself accidentally when pulling the tab away from the needle end of the lancet. Because the lancet snaps back into the lancet holder tool. Would suggest a quality control test and verify that all batches of the twist lancets allow the tab to pull away cleanly and easily from the needle without any effort. Would purchase at least one more time – to see if EasyTouch has fixed their quality control systems. I’ll revisit this review later, to update it.

Definitely noticed the difference using this needle vs the 33 gauge needle the kit came with. Using this one I only felt quick prick and through my non calloused finger came just enough blood for both testing sticks. The larger needle left me with pain a few days after the prick.

Cheap and sharp. No issues found. Will buy again instead of a brand name that I used. I used them with my Genteel lancing device.

The low profile of these are great. Be careful not to use twice however the needle will bend and become unsafe. If you finger did not bleed replace with a new one before trying again. Increase your pressure some when using to make sure it gets blood. I like that my finger stops bleeding right away and no sore feeling afterwards.
