This is okay, but I can’t use it because the alarms can only be set for exactly on-the-hour times. The prior version of this device allowed setting half-hours as well. This is my night-time backup alarm. I need the easy-to-turn-off slide switches, so I can turn off the alarms easily, even before they go off. In the middle of the night, I don’t want to have to try and figure out how to turn it off by pressing buttons multiple times and having to read a dark LCD display to turn off an alarm. And I don’t always need it going off before I can turn it off.

I purchased this alarm for my 82-year-old dad, who isn’t really hard of hearing, but the alarm on the reminder is very quiet. He didn’t even hear it when it was sitting next to him. Other than that, the alarms are easy to set and change. I’ll be shopping for something else to help him remember to take his meds.

This couldn’t be simpler to use. I love it as my wife has become forgetful in taking her meds which are 8 times a day. The alarm is persistent and penetrating, but it can’t be heard in the back bedroom from the kitchen and this is in an apartment. If you miss a dose it provides a reminder .

This is a nifty little device, very handy for people with multiple reminders throughout the day. My mother has several illnesses including cancer, so timing her medications is crucial, and this multi-alarm allows in one move of the hand to set an alarm for every half hour, if you like, from 6 am to midnight. It’s just as easy to change the regime if your medications (or whatever you’re using it for) has changed. I just slide it up or down, and the alarm is on or off. No other reminder system I found has as many alarms you can set. The sound it makes is rather loud but not deafening. I can hear it faintly from the attic when it beeps in the kitchen. Because it’s not a continuous beep but a series of short beeps, it’s not disturbing. Our dog and our cat are both fine with it. The other feature I like is that my mother can cancel the alarm with a push of a bigger round button, without having to slide the lever down and reset it again. Once I set the regime, I close the plastic cover and leave it that way. My mother has mild cognitive impairment, so she doesn’t have to worry that she’ll mess it up by canceling any alarms. Just push the left-most button when it beeps, and you’re fine. The device has a magnet back and is most convenient if you stick it to the refrigerator. It’s a great feature; it will never get lost this way, and it’s always central in the kitchen. However, this also has a negative side to it. If you (or your loved who is using it) have mobility problems, you’ll have to schlep to the fridge every time it beeps. This is a bit of hassle for us, since my mother is only partially mobile. Of course, it can be taken off the refrigerator, but it’s not really designed to be set up on a flat surface. I would take maybe a quarter to half of a star off for this lack of versatility.
I could think of an additional feature my dream multi-alarm would offer my mother — it would tell her when it beeped what exactly it was reminding her to do — but I imagine it’s possible that this would require an interface and a chip and all, which would make the device larger. It’s a give-and-take. So for the compact and simple device that this is, it’s an excellent value. In fact, its simplicity and the number of alarms available is what I value most.

Arrived on time. Works as published. This is the second one I bought for my mother in law whose first one lasted perfectly for over 5 years until she dropped it.
B. Happy 1717 –
My Mom has to take her medication twice a day and on time. I am not always the best on double checking that she did take her pills & she’s not the best in making sure she did take her pills. This solution to that problem.
The alarm is loud, how loud, I can hear it in the office across the house. The alarm keeps beeping every few minutes with its beep beep & resting. It’s not annoying it’s just consistent until it’s stopped. Which you just open the lid, push the stop button.
The lid magnifies the Time, it’s easy to see without reading glasses. The hour flip time on the alarm stops second guessing if you set it correctly.
I like that’s it’s simple and easy, Mom my likes that as well. Because in these little fights, it’s about my Mom feeling autonomous & independent, she handles her pill times & I can quietly check without pushing the issue.
It was worth $20 bucks.
I can also see lots of family uses, even great for a child, pet reminders, and for those moments where you end up on antibiotics.

It works great! My brother just had a liver transplant and is taking many prescriptions. It worked perfect and still is!!! I highly recommend it. I did however have to send the first one back for replacement. That went fast and efficiently.
