I ordered these on Feb 3, 2025 and received them on Feb 5, 2025.
They have a lot # and expiration date on the bottom. The Expiration date is 2026-08-31, meaning I have 18-19 months to use them. The company is transparent about being manufactured in China, even though they are designed in the USA, use USA-made reagents, and are quality tested in the USA. They also state that these are medical grade and FDA registered.
DESIGN
I like the way these are designed.
– You receive 100 test strips, but they are in 10 resealable foil pouches. So, when you use your first strip, you are, at most, exposing only 9 other strips to the air, rather than 99 if these were in a resealable plastic container. Each pouch’s label says to USE THE STRIPS WITHIN 60 DAYS OF OPENING THE POUCH. That’s why I appreciate that they provide these pouches, because once exposed to air, those other strips can go bad well before the expiration date. So, since I opened my first pouch in early February, I need to try and use the other 9 strips by early April, even though the overall expiration date for the product is end of August next year.
USE
– They are easy to use – you collect your urine or your saliva, drip the liquid on the strip, and wait a set amount of time before comparing the strip to the color chart.
– Once you have the colors decided, you can read the explanation of what that pH is ( neutral, acidic, or basic), and what the ranges may or may not mean/contribute to.
– The instructions say to test your saliva upon waking or at least 2 hours after eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth.
– I decided to test my saliva at night, nearly 3 hours after brushing my teeth. But I plan to test it again in the morning and also test my urine.
RESULTS:
– As you can see from the photo, my top reagent result has two colors on the square. It’s orangish in the center with green around the outside.
– So what does that mean? I am actually not sure. I probably should have done a second test to check which is more accurate. BUT this brings up a good fact, comparing the colors to the color chart has an element of SUBJECTIVITY. You’d think it should be fairly objective; the color on the strip either does or does not match the color on the chart. But mine is doesn’t match any perfectly.
– So, if I decide to say that top square is more orange, then that means the pH is lower = more acidic. If I decide to go with the green, the pH would be higher = more basic (in my case, it would actually be neutral at 7). So, there is definitely some room for error.
– My salivary results were somewhere in the 6.75-7 range.
– According to the pamphlet, having a 7 is indicative of “a healthy dental and periodontal situation. Neutral pH is generally associated with a low risk of dental decay or calculus.”
– Below 7 is acidic and usually indicates acidemia (acidity of the blood). This allows for the “growth of aciduric bacteria, resulting in dental caries, which further lowers the salivary pH.
Overall, I think these strips are excellent. The company clearly took the time to figure out a way to keep the strips fresh for the longest time. And they provide a pamphlet to help you understand what the readings could mean (most others are designed for medical use, rather than personal use). BUT this doesn’t mean that these strips are providing medical advice, they clearly state they are not to be used for personaldiagnosis.

I appreciate that while you get 100 test strips in this box, there are 10 sealed pouches with 10 tests each. While individually packaged would be the best way to go, this at least protects the majority of the test strips by limiting the amount that are exposed upon opening the package. It is nice to note that each pouch is resealable and is labeled to use them within 60 days after being opened. The directions are very clear, read within 30 seconds of applying the liquid and then match the results to the chart on the back of the pouch. Since this has two squares to match, it is a bit easier to read than other tests with only one and allowing for a ton of subjectivity. The instructions were very clear that this should not be used for personal diagnosis. Overall has a nice ease of use.

These are the best pH test strips I have tried, and I have tried many as I try to monitor my health. These are not intended to replace medical testing, but they are helping me monitor pH levels so that I can make wise choices about diet in particular. The instruction guide is very clear, both about how to obtain the sample and how to read the chart. Matching colors on test strips to the pH chart is never super easy, but matching these strips with the control chart is easier than it is with other strips. It is the two color bars set onto each white strip that helps with reading the pH. I feel much more like I can ‘read’ the result rather than mostly guess and become frustrated as I do with my other pH strips. The guide take into account the problem with reading color charts and suggests that if the top and bottom color pads don’t match the control top and bottom colors, the top color is the reading to use. Another great thing about these is that you don’t open — and expose to the air — all the test strips at once. Each of the sealed barrier pouches protects the 10 strips inside from oxygen, moisture, and contamination. Once a pouch is opened, it can be resealed with a press-to-close zipper so the other strips inside are protected, though the guide says to use them within 60 of opening the pouch. I am extremely happy with these pH strips. As I said, they are the best I have tried so far.
