These are not for diabetics. That’s just the newest trendy word for foreign sellers. These are too loose to be compression for day wear, and not loose enough for non-compression for nite wear.
There are several websites with variations of “pure athelete” so I can’t verify this is a US company (which matters not at all since the product is made in Taiwan).
The foot section is an avg weight fabric. Not thick nor thin. It should last a bit. The uppers are done in a mesh and are a bit thinner feeling.
Oddly, a loose fabric will not increase circulation. It just allows more swelling which decreases circulation. Compression garments are what improve circulation. They prevent swelling so the veins are not blocked or pressured.

I had never really thought about wearing diabetic socks. What I remembered were those black knee-high socks from back in the day that old people with diabetes wore. These are not those. These are sytlish tube socks that are moisture wicking. They are comfortable to wear. I did not get the sense that they were offering much by way of compression, more like a gentle squeeze almost akin to dress socks. In fact I have other compression socks (not diabetic socks) that are much more constricting against the foot, ankle, lower leg and provide more arch support. I don’t know if these are supposed to offer compression as the info says “loose fitting top” but i thought that’s in part what diabetic socks were supposed to do — offer compression to assist with circulation. I would agree that the top isn’t snug, but it’s not “loose” either. The socks don’t fall down, so they are tight enough to stay in place. Because the socks are comfortable and my feet don’t get hot in them, and the socks look nice, I’ll be using these for everyday wear during workouts – they look great with black or grey workout gear.

When you are purchasing diabetic socks, it is for a reason! That being said it is really nice that someone has designed some that have an doesn’t say “I’m wearing diabetic socks”! I like how the socks stay up without leaving ridge marks in the skin. The toe doesn’t have any seams and the toe and heel are both black to make it look truly like an athletic sock. So not only is it designed with your diabetic feet in mind, it is also designed to look as much not like a diabetic sock as possible! I love these socks! I can protect my feet, and let my circulation be unhindered while looking sporty! Highly recommend these socks – 5 Stars!
