Pure ingredient, no additives, I use this oil as a base to combine stronger oils for my hair, skin, nails etc and I literally love it so much. Highly recommend. Moisturizing, light, not too heavy, variety of uses, mild/hardly any scent and good to use as a base for combining other products.

I can’t say enough good things about Desert Essence Organic Jojoba Oil. I have tried other brands and this one is the best there is. Other brands had oil that smelled strongly or had an off “odor”. I have never had that issue with this product. It goes on smoothly, gets absorbed quickly. I have very sensitive skin and anything with fragrances leaves me with a reaction. So several years ago I had to stop using all commercial moisturizers. I began looking for something that would work for me, that was non-comodegenic and fragrance-free. This is it. I use it as a facial moisturizer, body moisturizer, and in place of a hand creme. It leaves my skin soft and calm. I told family members and friends about it and now so many of them have switched over from other synthetic products, and every one of them swears by it. My only complaint (a friendly request for Desert Essence, really) is that I wish this came in larger bottles/bulk packaging. We go through so much of this in my household every month, that it feels like a major environmental waste to keep buying these small plastic bottles. That and, once the bottles are opened for use, they leak if the bottle is sideways in a bag. So if you take yours to the gym, or carry it with you in your bag ( I do both, since I use it each time I wash my hands), I found a workaround — the bottles have a pour cap, and under that, the bottle mouth comes sealed with a foil disk. If you only peel the disk back a little bit, pour out the oil you need, then press the disk back against the mouth and tightly close the cap, the bottle does not leak when sideways. But you have to be mindful. Other than that, this is one of my all-time favorite personal use products and one I swear by at all times.

A little background on my skin type. I’m 36 years old and have combination skin that is extremely sensitive and very acne prone (mix of hormonal acne and other sorts). My finicky skin causes me a lot of heartache and has resulted in many tears. For years I have been avoiding any type of moisturizers out of fear i’d break out. Instead, i was using face products geared towards “acne” and clear skin which in turn made my sensitive skin even worse. After much research I finally pulled the trigger and decided to try out the oil cleansing method (sans coconut oil because that stuff is HIGH on the comedogenic scale at a 5). Instead, i tried jojoba which is only 2 on comedogenic scale (so not completely pore clogging free) but it has a composition closest to that of human sebum so it works.
My thoughts. I have found a new holy grail! This stuff has completely helped my red and irritated skin to calm down. I will sometimes mix this with Argan or hemp oil (both 0 on comedogenic scale meaning it will not clog pores) and oil cleanse with that. After oil cleansing i will wash my face with an oil free cleanser of some sort (or miceller water) and then finish off with a little more oil which I pat into my skin and leave on overnight. I will rotate between jojoba and Argan or hemp depending on how dry my skin feels due to weather. Instead of waking up with an oily face, i wake up with a glowing non oily complexion. It’s amazing.
Tip. There is no such thing as “skin purging” so if you try this and it is causing additional breakouts then it is not the right oil for your skin type. If that happens, try Argan or hemp to see how one of those works. Everyone has a different skin composition so it’s possible that although this works for me, it may not work for you. If it doesn’t work on your face though, use it on your cuticles and body because it will surely leave you with soft healthy skin!!

I was very hesitant to use oil in my hair, but tried it and used a little for the frizzies and it worked. Put some on my skin and it did not leave an oily residue so this passes my test. Will last and would buy again.

I made a detangling and conditioning spray using this, vit E oil, and a Lemon essential oil mixed with distilled water in a glass bottle which I keep in the fridge.Wow hairs love it. The Jojoba Oil is the most important ingredient and if my hair extensions are looking lifeless this alone makes them happy again.

This is really good quality jojoba oil!! Jojoba is super good for your skin, hair, literally everything, and this brand seems to have consistent quality. I’ve ordered from them for a few years and never gotten an off smelling bottle or suspiciously low quality oil. This is my go-to oil now.
I first started using jojoba oil because I was getting terrible dandruff, and I had never had dandruff before. The *only* thing that worked long term (not even dandruff shampoo worked past the initial few weeks) was applying jojoba oil to my scalp every night and letting it soak in for about an hour. Due to how often I was dying my hair, my scalp was getting really dried out and irritated, and this soothed and moisturized it, but when I took a shower and washed my hair it washed out cleanly and my head didn’t feel heavy or oily the next day.
I also use this as a moisturizer for my face. I add a bit of tea tree oil to the bottle, and then moisturize at night. It’s seriously reduced the amount of cystic acne I get; I used to have at least 1 painful bump on my face at a time and since I started doing this I get one approximately once every 4 months and it is much less painful and goes away much quicker. I have never had any acne medication or other skin treatment make such a radical different in my skin!!!
