On to the really good skincare aka Dermalogica.
As a longtime Dermalogica user I can say it’s worth it.
I get it’s expensive but this travel kit is a way to get enough to really try.
Where most brands travel kits give you a few tries, this gives almost 2 weeks.
The reason why is you only need drops and dabs for Dermalogica bc it’s concentrated.
So you get to try 4 stellar products for the price of one.
* Daily Exfoliant~ Holy Grail Product
This has been in my now over 50 arsenal since I was still 40.
It’s gentle & smooths. Sandy crystals turn to creamy hydration on a wet face
Let it sit a min or keep doing circles to really make skin pop.
* Glycolic Cleanser~ Use after exfoliant
Again creamy and takes your skin to the deep down next level of youth.
Small bottle but a drop on fingers or Clarisonic goes a long way.
* Vitamin C~ another staple
My C serums are either Dermalogica or Dr Barbor.
Both luxury priced but necessary for concentration on aging skin.
* Retinol Serum~ This was the only product of 1st try
Used solo and yes skin looked great. But said to use day with C at night.
As I work from home & it’s fall so sun a bit more gentle, cocktailed this & C in day.
It was easier and extends bottles using half of 2 to make 1. Plus you get the best prepped skin.
Obvi I’m a Dermalogica loyalist.

I just spent some time on this brand’s website learning about their products and read their blog on skincare routines as I am learning the reasons for all the different steps and what I need to do to take care of my aging face.
So this set is a good starter set. First step here is the daily glycolic cleanser which works well to cleanse the skin. Next, the daily microfoliant is the product I enjoyed the most, it is a rice based exfoliant powder that you add water to, it has a bit of a gritty feeling and you massage it into your face, it felt so good like it was really buffing my skin. I followed with the dynamic skin retinol serum because that is what is recommended for nighttime. It went on smoothly and feels good on my face. The fourth product, a vitamin C serum is recommended for morning use.
These are trial size bottles and I really like them and this brand. I like having an order and routine using one brand for my face. Great Set!

Don’t be fooled by the very large bag these trial size bottles come in. I know they are trial size but the bottles are TINY. It’s a little ridiculous that they use such a huge bag that is mostly filled with just cardboard. Still, it’s a great travel bag though! As far as the products, I am very pleased. Most similar products usually break me out but these have not and do seem to be working as intended. I absolutely LOVE the “daily microfoliant”. It’s probably the best exfoliating product I’ve ever used. It instantly tightens and brightens my skin and makes my pores practically invisible. I’m not familiar with this brand so the price point seems pretty high for trial size products but I know good skincare isn’t cheap. Overall, definitely worth a try if you’re looking for high quality skincare products!

I love these little gift / travel sets as a way to test out new brands or products before committing to full size products. This set has a nice sample of Dermalogica products – a cleanser, an exfoliant, a vitamin C serum, and a retinol serum.
I find it a bit odd that such a clinical feeling brand would group all of these products into a set together. The cleanser contains chemical exfoliating ingredients, while the powder is a physical exfoliant. Those probably should not be used together in one routine, and I certainly won’t be using them both at the same time! Maybe once a week for each? Otherwise my skin will not be happy.
The vitamin C and retinol serums seem to be nice on my skin, but again, I would not use them both in the same routine. At best, I’d use the retinol at night and vitamin C in the morning, but I like to give my skin more of a break than that.
And without a moisturizer, this set feels incomplete if you were intending to use it as a travel set! I could see marketing it as a ‘best of’ the brand, or something, but not a travel set when it doubles up on some needs and ignores other major skincare needs! Just an odd combination.
