The cord is limiting. Sessions generally last about 15 minutes. So, if you do not have an electrical outlet where you can relax, consider whether you want to stand in place repeatedly to use this.

I like the height. Allows me to sit more upright when using this on the desk. I mainly use this for its water vapor rather than for the menthol packets. Last time I was sick, this helped cleared my nostrils, moisten my eyes and soothe my throat. I highly recommend for when you’re sick.

I’ve used the Vicks steamer in the past and after purchasing this one I’m glad I did. It’s easy to use and very effective. The pads are very strong so it gets the job done well. It is also very easy to clean and easy to store once taken apart. Highly recommend if you are buying for getting rid of cold or sore throat.

I do not recommend this as it is only to be used with Hauls inserts according to directions. Cannot be hand held. Must remain flat on a non flamable level surface . It barely puts out anything at all. The bottom of unit heats up so not safe for children without adult sitting with them. Alot of don’t directions to cause anxiety for any mom to allow a child to use. Of course the plastic smell that mixes with the heated steam was lovely. Unless you take pictures of each piece and the box with reason why you cannot use this unit they will refuse returns.

This steam inhaler is difficult to use, takes a very long time to produce steam, and is a poor value. I am incredibly disappointed in the product. There is no notification when the steam is ready besides a light and its easy to spill and drip water everywhere. The device is finicky and is not effective. Do yourself a favor and buy a small humidifier instead.

I bought this steamer to address respiratory issues that occur predominantly at night. The Crane steamer has a small footprint that works well on my beside table. It it is extremely easy to refill. Screw the top in or out. There is a reference mark to ensure that it is screwed in properly. It heats up quickly and there is a light to indicate when it is ready for use. Put your face in the mask and steam away. The steam flow is adequate. The only thing I could wish is that the mask were made of softer plastic. The supplied documentation says that the steam should never be handheld when in use. This is my preferred mode of use and I have done it often with little to no leakage. I keep that unit vertical when I do this. I suspect that if it was held at an angle that the leakage would be more noticeable. I would definitely recommend this product.
24 hours after this was posted the boiler split from the vapor mask and dumped about a cup of boiling hot water on my thigh. Ouch. Recommendation, use only as instructed by manufacturer.
