This product contains 10% docosanol which is the same as the name brand and many other generic cold sore creams.
This cream is thinner than the name brand and other generic docosanol creams that I have used for cold sores in the past. The directions are always to rub the cream in, it should work the same if the same amount is applied as the thicker creams.
I do not currently have a cold sore, so I could not test this docosanol cream to see if it works as well as the name brand.
This docosanol cream that I received has expiration date of December 2025. It is the same size pump as the name brand

I ordered this ‘Cosette Cold Sore/Fever Blister Treatment’ to keep on hand in the event my wife or I get a cold sore. And this does seem to be the season for such things to appear.
I ordered this ‘Cosette Cold Sore/Fever Blister Treatment’ specifically for two reasons. Firstly, I like that it’s a spray. For me, a spray is easier yo apply than a cream, and there’s a lot less waste or mess in my opinion.
And secondly, I figured that a spray cold sore treatment would be a lot more sanitary to use. Think of it…you have a cold sore…you dab your finger on the tube and then on your cold sore…and then somebody else does the same thing. How unsanitary is that?!?
The ingredients in this ‘Cosette Cold Sore/Fever Blister Treatment’ are exactly the same as in the name brand treatment…in the same dosage as well. That’s good enough for me.
In summary, this ‘Cosette Cold Sore/Fever Blister Treatment’ is a good, convenient and sanitary option for a cold sore treatment.

I have yet to use these yet so the review will be not based on the effectiveness of the product. It does have the same active ingredients as the popular brand I often use. I rarely get cold sores, maybe one a year. When I do, I often use the brand name creams and it really does work to shorten the length of my cold sore. This cream has the same amount of active ingredient, so it should be as effective. I like the pump design and makes dispensing the cream much easier

I get fever blisters/cold sores more often than I’d like, so this little cream came in pretty handy when I was looking for some relief. If anything – it does work, and works pretty well. I think I cleared the fever blister/cold sore more quickly than if I hadn’t applied the cream. That being said, the cost for a tube of this size is pretty steep. This is a generic brand of the active ingredient – usually, generics are cheaper than name brand, but that’s not the case in this situation.

I have to admit this cold sore medication is a little watery for my liking. It’s a cream that you can apply it’s just not as creamy as some of it’s competitors. I generally try to use this medication when I feel a cold sore coming on and this product did seem to help. I guess the 10% Docosanol Cream is effective for managing cold sores. I just wish its consistency was a bit thicker.

I am reviewing this Cosette Cold Sore Treatment with 10% Docosanol Cream. This is a two pack of 0.07 oz Pump Bottles. Unfortunately I do get cold sores from time to time so I wanted to try out this cold sore medication that I have not tried before. The listing states that this product’s active ingredient is compared to the active ingredient in Abreva. I do not currently have a cold sore so I cannot try this out yet, but I wanted to have this in my medicine cabinet in case I do develop a cold sore in the future. The listing states that this treatment can shorten the healing time of cold sores and that would make me extremely happy. I hate the way cold sores look and feel so I am hopeful that this will help with healing.

The cold sore creams come in 2 packs, the bottles are easy to pump. The creams have a white consistency texture. They are good to use.

Don’t use to much a lot goes a long way. I tend to get cold soars every couple of months and every time they are bad. This does quick work of them and helps with the pain of them also. Super good value for what you get.
