I ordered this product on Feb 28 because my husband was showing symptoms of a cold. On March 1 he tested positive for Influenza A and I started having symptoms later that day.
The product arrived quickly but I was too sick to open it until today March 4. I just took my first dose and it tastes and feels just like the name brand ‘Quil’ product that it compares itself to on its label.
Glad to have this additional weapon in our arsenal because flu A sucks!

This is a good product to have in your medicine chest at home for when Cold and Flu season hits.
It’s formulated for people with high blood pressure and removes the ingredient Phenylephrine which can impact blood pressure. Phenylephrine is used for clearing up your nasal passages and since it is missing, keep that in mind.
The amount you take is double that a usual dosage but that’s no issue since the flavor is a bit minty and doesn’t taste bad. Dosage (30ml) is every 4 hours and works the same as other comparable products.

This arrived just in time for spring cold season, and in my opinion, works just as well (and tastes pretty much the same) as its more expensive, name-brand counterparts (Dayquil, Mucinex and/or Coricidin, for instance). It’s crazy to me that companies charge more for “high blood pressure” products that actually haver fewer active ingredients than their “regular” versions (In this case, the HBP version lacks the phenylephrin HCI found in the regular product), but whatever; this is a standard marketing practice, and I don’t fault the product itself.

This generic copy of DayQuil has the same ingredients as DayQuil (650 mg Acetaminophen & 20 mg Dextromethorphan) but is missing Phenylephrine HCl (for runny/stuffed sinuses) and Guaifenesin (a decongestant). Taste-wise, its color is deceiving. It has a lightly mint flavor and is cough syrup in nature. It is not a harsh flavor so your children might not avoid it in disgust. Taken to reduce the effects of a bad cold it did not knock me out (a good thing, as remedies such as NyQuil put me to sleep right away) so I was able to work with less pain and coughing thanks to this medication. You do have to repeat the dosage every 4 hours so stash a bottle in your desk at work or else go through the ups and downs of the aches and cough returning midday.

Looks to be very similar to DayQuil with near twice the acetaminophen based on ingredients. Only the price for this one is very similar for a bottle 2/3 the size.

Standard Dayquil contains the following ingredients:
1: Acetaminophen (for pain relief and fever reduction)
2: Dextromethorphan (as a cough suppressant)
3: Phenylephrine (as a nasal decongestant).
This product leaves out the Phenylephrine as it can impact blood pressure. Because of this, you do take 30ml instead of the standard 15, and in that, you get twice the amount of Acetaminophen (650mg instead of 325) and Dextromethorphan (20mg instead of 10), as these two ingredients are trying to make up for the missing third. Note Dayquil “severe” also has Guaifenesin to relieve chest congestion. I’d recommend this for those who can’t have the regular stuff due to blood pressure, but otherwise, I’d go with the full “severe” stuff if I was really stuffed up, congested and miserable.
