Egal, ob mit Milch oder mit Wasser haben die Shakes einen angenehmen Vanille Geschmack.

I’ve been working out for the last 6 months or so with the goal of putting on muscle mass & bulking up a bit. I’m a tall, skinny guy (aka hard gainer), and what makes things even more challenging is that I recently had a baby who I often take care of. If you’ve done any childcare, then you know how difficult it can be to get a decent meal in while the kid is crying and tearing the house up. It was almost impossible for me to get in enough calories to make any gains even though I hit the weights 3xs per week. I did some research and found out there were high calorie shakes that could help me with my weight goals. I read a bunch of Amazon reviews and I decided on ordering BSN True Mass (Chocolate flavor) and was surprised how decent it tasted. I’ve been through I think 4 or 5 tubs of this stuff so far, and I still don’t mind drinking it. I guess I should try another flavor, but I’m a bit afraid the other flavors might not taste as good. I usually make a blended shake with frozen bananas & other fruits, milk or rice milk, and sometimes peanut butter. It’s good stuff, pretty easy to drink, and I haven’t noticed any gas or anything like that. My original goal was to go from a scrawny 153lbs to 163lbs. Well in just a few months I’m already at 171lbs! (I don’t mean to sound like an infomercial, but it’s true.) So now I’m setting a new goal of 193lbs (I’ll keep you posted on the progress).
About a month ago I was curious to check out some of the competing brands, so I tried ON’s Serious Mass because it had pretty decent reviews and a good price. A word of advice– ON Serious Mass tastes DISGUSTING!! I thought it would be similar to BSN True Mass, but it wasn’t at all. The serving sizes were insane and the stuff tasted like oily rotten artificially flavored nastiness. I gagged a bit the first time I tried to drink ON Serious Mass it because it was so nasty. I usually don’t leave too many reviews on Amazon, but Serious Mass was so bad that I wrote a one star review explaining why it tasted like crap. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra few bucks to get BSN True Mass (or some other brand that is not ON Serious Mass).

Super löslich und schmeckt einfach nur bombe. Also Schoko kann ich echt empfehlen.
Ich trinke ein Shake am Tag und esse 3 Mahlzeiten. Nach dem Training noch zusätzlich ein Whey Drink von ESN.
Habe in 2 Monaten 4kg zugenommen, ich habe aber auch nur 2 Löffel in 500ml Milch gemacht und nicht 4 wie vorgegeben.
Wollte nicht nicht zuviel Fett aufbauen, nur langsam etwas Gewicht aufbauen.

I’m one of those people who can’t gain weight even if I were to inject pure bacon grease through an IV into my arteries… Through the years I’ve used multiple different high calorie weight gainers along with working out and this one is so far the best, by a long shot. I’ve used some with higher calorie counts before, but they did not taste well and were super thick, almost to the point you had to chew them… Pretty gross. I’ve ordered quite a few containers of this BSN now, have had chocolate a few times and just started getting strawberry and they all mix up in 16oz of water very easily using a blender bottle. For the chocolate I add 2-3 teaspoons of Nestle Quik to it… makes it taste quite a bit better. The strawberry to me is the better tasting of the two and also seemingly lighter/smoother. One odd thing, every container I’ve had of these have included a different scoop. I could swear that the scoop size changes… I don’t know if this is normal or what, but it sure is strange.
Amazon subscribe and save sweetens the deal. I have it so it sends me both strawberry and chocolate at different intervals. I will probably try vanilla eventually too.
UPDATE (04/17/12): I’ve been using the Cookies & Cream flavor the past 2 months and it is in my opinion, hands down, the best tasting one I’ve used of these. It seems to mix up even better than the others and tastes the most realistic. Also has little cookie crunches in it. After 3 months of using this product I’ve put on a good 10 lbs. While that doesn’t sound like a lot, it is for me. I’ve never been able to put on weight regardless of products used, especially keep it on. So, it’s been working well. Again, I highly recommend the Cookies & Cream flavor.
As far as performance goes, it does work. I’ve put on about 12 lbs the past few months of lean muscle and I can visually tell that my workouts are more effective while on the BSN product than other weight gainers I have used in the past.
