I have never tried a moisturizer with tallow before so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. This salve looks a lot like petroleum jelly, but the texture is quite different. The texture does not have the sticky plastic feeling that I am used to with Vaseline. Rather it melts with the heat of my hands into a smooth oil that absorbed quickly into the skin.
The scent is very mild and dissipates almost immediately after it is applied. I really don’t mind because I mainly use unscented moisturizer anyway. This little jar will last a long time because you only need very small amounts at a time.
I also appreciate the short list of ingredients as I have very sensitive skin and am prone to allergic reactions to chemicals in skin care products. I recommend this tallow salve because it is gentle and does a good job moisturizing my skin and has a good price point.

It’s a bit thicker than Vaseline and hard to get enough to use. The smell is vaguely there.

Fast shipping is very appreciated. The ingredients are wonderful. All you need is a little bit. I start with the parts on my hands that split open like knuckles and tips, then I work salve into rest of my hands. Lavender sent is soothing & not strong at all. A little greasy but this helps the salve spread and works really well on skin. Skin does not stay greasy long. MADE IN THE USA. Thank you for putting an awesome funderful product on Vine (there’s a lot of junk on vine, I’m glad I found and got to try your product.).

Full disclosure, due to their affordability and my lack do familiarity with the brand, I was expecting an “ok” experience with these shoes. Having now broken them in, I’m worried that they may have become my new favorite shoes.
Things I love:
– they have somewhat stretchy uppers and laces that move and flex with your foot, staying perfectly in place while somehow not feeling overly tight and restrictive
– while I did wear minimal socks with them, I still felt a fair amount of airflow, which is great for my sweaty feet
– the zero-drop is executed perfectly, but I still feel a slight layer of padding under my foot, so I feel nicely insulated from sharp pebbles and won’t get as much foot pain and fatigue from my foot striking the ground repetitively.
– the fit is spot on, unlike some shoe companies that run large, small, etc.
– the soles are super chunky and have a great grip, both inside and out
Things I don’t love (but mostly don’t mind):
– I wish the design was a little less “wild”. It’s not as extreme as I expected (unless I show the soles, which are usually under the shoe), but definitely not something I can sneak into work and play off as a “modern” work shoe. Definitely designed for and will stay on the trails!
– a little worried about the long term durability of the faux leather around the lace eyelets
As far as build quality, everything is up to snuff. No obvious defects or signs of poor workmanship. High quality materials were used on the soles and uppers. Definitely on par with big name brands. If you’re on the fence because of the affordability and brand, take the risk, very glad I did!

I’ve never used any type of topical cream or salve that contained beef tallow aka rendered fat that I’m aware of, until now. However, I’ve eaten too many delicious pounds of beef fat in my burgers and steaks over my many years. I must admit I had some trepidation in using this salve from the name, but I’m glad I did as this stuff is great, albeit pricy. I have a variety of skin conditions and this salve seems to help, just don’t overdo it. A very small amount goes a long way in moisturizing and protecting/healing the largest organ of your body . The only con, IMHO, is the fragrance. There is just a hint of lavender, which I usually love, but in this application the lavender seems a bit off to me, but in use you really can’t smell it. All in all, a great product, which I highly recommend.

My son has developed dry skin and insists that regular moisturizers are a scam. Looking for something natural, I came across tallow. I felt odd when I researched to see what it was, but when I asked him about it, he was excited, because there are influencers saying tallow is great. So we gave it a go. I didn’t notice any odor, but he noticed a slight scent. He said it’s not great, but he could live with it. About and hour later, he said his skin felt better already. Sounds like magic to me! I’m interested to see if over time he still has good results. I’m also trying it on a patch of dry skin on my arm.

I tried this same salve with vanilla previously and it was the most amazing thing for severely dry and cracked skin. My hands especially get like this in the winter due to frequent hand washing for my line of work. When I saw this salve available to try in lavender I couldn’t wait.
It has the consistency of a typical salve that is hard and softens up with a little heat. You only need a tiny amount and it seems very oily at first but absorbs quickly. It does an amazing job of softening the skin and even lasts through several hand washes. My previous jar lasted a long time so I’m looking forward to being able to use this well into the summer.
While this is great for even sensitive skin, I don’t use it on my face regularly because it is a bit too rich for me and causes pimples. I have used a dab though on dry patches on my cheeks for a day or two with no issues.
This tallow salve is priced under $10 which is a steal in my opinion for how well it works and how long it lasts. I highly recommend it.

The ingredients are great with this blam. The lavender scent is not overpowering and a little of this goes a long way. Your skin will not stay greasy either. Bonus for being made in the USA. I also like the price as it sits at $7. Seems to be on the lower end of these types of products.
