This is a nice moisturizer and lasts for the day, but be careful that you don’t put on light colored clothes right after you apply it. The clothes will get orange markings on them and it is not easy to get it out in the wash. This is the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 starts.

I was looking for a balm I could pat lightly on top of my other skin care at night on my face to “seal” it in due to my very dry skin and this works great. Some products claim they are a balm and it’s just a really thick cream. Also use it for the body especially my feet. I find the vetiver scent very pleasant and soothing and it does live up to its name so if you are a vetiver fan give this a try!

This brilliant product is a formula for those with sensitivities. My sweet eyes were impacted by a severe allergic response a few years ago, and since, have been extremely sensitive to all lotions – except this one. It is gentle and kind and delivered by a company that shines with integrity and stellar customer service. This is not the only product I enjoy from Banyan, and every single item I have purchased from them is delivered promptly and is of the highest quality. This balm is not a cream. I probably should have known that from the description. But it is hard and greasy and has a very overwhelming earthy smell that I did not care for at all despite typically liking things like vetiver and amber. Not a winner for me.

I started using this product almost two years ago and it has been my go to moisturizer before bed. It has made my skin substantially smoother and softer. The container lasts as you don’t need to apply much at a time. My absolute favorite part of my skin care routine!

I have been using soothing skin balm since 2021. I have always received so my compliments on my glowing skin, people were always shocked when I would say I used no active ingredients, no cleansers, no serums or expensive products. Just warm water, and banyan. I have used this product liberally, all over my face and neck for years. Sometimes multiple times a day.
This has been the worst summer of my life. My doctor thought I had lupus. I had a butterfly rash that covered my face, day after day, after day. My skin was peeling and cracking and so horribly dry that it was causing me pain. My eyelids were swelling, eyelashes falling out. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars with functional medicine doctors, allergists, and dermatologists. I have removed just about every potential toxin from my life, changed all of my household products from laundry to cleaning supplies. Went on an autoimmune diet. We tried everything – blood work, nor testing or diet changes were diagnosing what was happening to me. Finally, after working with a new dermatologist who was ready to CUT AND BIOPSY my face, asked me if I had any single product, household item or food that I hadn’t removed from my life and when I answered “just my moisturizer but I’ve been using it for years” I felt immediately, dumbfounded. I had never considered this product could be the culprit. I thought it was the only thing that didn’t need removing. After 2 weeks of stopping use, I have had 0 flare ups, no inflammation or redness, no dryness cracking or peeling. My skin is healing.
It makes me sick to my stomach when I think about it too hard. Months of suffering. So much money spent on doctors and testing. Losing my eyelashes. A summer spent suffering.. and I was doing it to myself. Every single day.
I spent years using this product but this is the first and only bottle I purchased that had this new label. Has banyan changed the formula along with the branding refresh?? Please respond!

Fabulous product I’ve been using for many years. You can use it as a regular face moisturizer it’s good for irritations on the skin wonderful company highly recommend it

I really love Banyan Botanical’s Soothing Skin Balm. A friend gave me my first jar, telling me that it was an Ayurvedic product that would be cooling to my skin. I have dishydrotic eczema on my hands, which can become very red, hot, and swollen. I haven’t found anything that works as well as this balm. It cools my skin and eases the swelling. I have ordered this balm a number of times now. I don’t often leave reviews, but this is one product I highly recommend!
