These Alka Seltzer chews are a total game changer. I was waiting for when I actually felt sick to use them. I was feeling a cold coming on and took these… they were easy to chew and dissolve quickly without needing any water—I tucked these in my travel bag for “just in case” situations. The orange flavor is actually pleasant, not overpowering or chalky like some other tablets. Definitely recommend to keep around the house and value of 16 tablets is great!

I’ve always liked the effects of Alka-seltzer, but it’s not always convenient to have a glass of water to dissolve tablets in and I don’t always love having to drink the medicine if I’m already sick. But these are very easy to take and effective.

I have used alka seltzer for a while, on a needed basis of course and have always found that it works exactly as advertised. When the symptoms creep in, taking these I noticed a very distinct marked improvement and the effervescent effect typically adds to the invigorating effect. This particular version doesn’t require water, which makes it tremendously convenient to bring these along with you in the case that you need it. Chews not as pleasant as the dissolvable version, and it’s a pretty big chew, but there is a tradeoff there that’s pretty much worth it. definitely reccommended

Comparing to Dayquil (or generic equivalent), which is my goto Cold/Flu medication of choice for getting through the day. I’m often away from home, so I like the fact that you can ingest these Alka-Seltzer tablets without water. That’s really what attracted me to the product. However, looking more closely I see that these tablets, even though they are packaged with a “Dayquil-like” orange color scheme… contain an ingredient that can make you drowsy. I operate commercial vehicles, so this is a deal breaker for me. I kind of wish these had a bit of a “nighttime” color scheme on the box.
Also, these tablet contain about half of the medication within a typical dose of Dayquil… so I’m not sure if there is any monetary savings to be had over generic Dayquil. The Alka-Seltzer box is also fully 60% empty space inside, so a bit wasteful with the packaging.

I grew up with Alka Seltzer in my medicine chest. It was the traditional ones that go into a glass of water and “Plop plop; fizz fizz; Oh what a relief it is”. To be honest, I couldn’t take the taste. Of course I was a kid. My parents swore by it for all sorts of reasons. This was in the 60s and 70s.
These are different. They are easily portable cold medication. It is far more convenient than carrying around a bottle of cold liquid. Plus, water isn’t necessary, but, of course, it is nice to have to help rinse it down once chewed. This also makes it ideal for those with issues swallowing since they are chewable. There are times when I have issues with swallowing, and some of my adult children prefer chewable tablets as they struggle with larger pills. These are great for that reason.
These contain Acetaminophen aka. Tylenol / Paracetamol. Those sensitive to that needs to take care. It also contains an antihistamine, which is great for colds and allergies, but it can cause drowsiness. I’m very sensitive to antihistamine, so I take this when I’m prepared to rest or sleep. However, even though it makes me drowsy, the antihistamine really helps with functionality.
Overall, these are extremely handy to have around and effective. I find the price to make these a good value. Alka Seltzer has always been a trustworthy brand.

Most importantly, these tablets have consistently provided quick and effective relief from my cold symptoms. Their portability and effectiveness make them an essential part of my travel kit.

Chewable tablets for adults, yay! These are nice to have for a convenience factor, I can throw them in my work bag to take with me to the office when I’m not feeling well because I still work sick. They help with my aches and runny nose. I can’t tell much difference in the cough, but not what I was paying attention to. Is this the best-tasting thing? No, but it offers relief, and that’s all I care about.

I’m a fan of Alka-Seltzer cold products so this was an easy choice when I needed to restock my travel medicine bag. I like to take along most commonly used items to have then hand when we’re away from home so I have quick access to them and so I don’t have to seek out somewhere to buy something in a place I’m not familiar with. I was drawn to the idea that I don’t need any water to take these Fizzy Chews, so that makes them even more versatile when traveling. They’re a very different experience than dropping 2 tablets into a glass of water and drinking, and I can’t say I loved the taste, but it wasn’t bad either. The good thing is it helped relieved my cold symptoms so that’s the most important thing about them, they work!
