These are not a heavy sock, but they are not very thin either. They are a good quality. The roll down style is so that there is no pressure on the leg, but they do not fall down. I bought them because they are organic and they do not cause pressure on my legs.

The seller did offer a refund. I felt badly. With them paying shipping both ways, even with me buying two different types, they would have lost money. The socks do say within the description they are not 100 percent cotton. I thought the elastine would be the elastic added to to the opening/top of the footies and the socks. Sadly no. It is part of the the fabric of the socks. As I said, they are very thin. I have never seen diabetic socks this thin before. They do not have seams which is important for diabetic socks. The whole point is the no seam and for the socks to keep a diabetics feet dry. My uncle used to keep womens kotex inside his socks during the summer to keep his feet dry and his wife carried spares for him in her purse during the day. You may chuckle, but very smart man. It gave me an similiar idea later in life when I had a VERY bad doctor who said I had no issues on the medical reports, when I did after surgery and he flat out lied. I had to do something because he didn’t treat and laughed at me everytime I walked into the office with kotex taped to my belly and back after the surgery because he didn’t put in drains. It was two decades later I found out his medical records said their was no drainage. ah no. They flood gates opened and a daily tsunami ensued that required one to two large packages of heavy duty overnight pads, every single day for over six weeks and the surgical wounds, front and back took forever to heal, gauze was way too expensive after the first day. Then I remembered my uncle….I figured they’re “sanitary” napkins after all and worked for my uncles feet. The surgerical wounds wer quite large on both my front and back requiring two rows horizontal of four on the front and two rows of three verticle on the back. Many times, right after finished I would have to redo it again, nd so often getting out of the car I would have to rush to the bathroom to change them again, only to be met with laughter and the doctor’s office where he announced he tells everyone what I was doing….except the truth in the medical reports. My uncle didn’t lose his feet or legs, whereas my mom did. But that was from a metal floor piece at work, that everyone complained about, but the ‘stupidvisor’ as the staff all called him, never put in the paperwork to fix it at Cal Poly Pomona kitchen. She nearly died of gang green when he wouldn’t allow her time off after she had used all her sick leave and vacation. Working on her feet all day in a hot kitchen compounded the issue. GG spreads. And qickly. She eventually lost both feet and then both legs. Then died. And Admin at CPP did nothing to help. That metal piece of trim on the floor went right through her work shoes into her foot and she had to wait until after work to see the doctor. It killed her. You really have to take very good care of your feet anyway you can. No one else will. It was very nice for this place to offer a refund. But I can’t do that to them. I will find uses for them, so I am happy. I am not diabetic. I do have alergies. I was looking for 100percent cotton. These don’t seem to cause a rash or itching. I will put them to good use and thank the seller for their kind offer. I will be fine using these during the summer months.

When I was finally able to focus on getting serious about collecting a supply of base layer organic cotton clothing to live in I found socks to be the easiest to find, although perhaps not those that’re authentically certified organic cotton. When I found these Phoenix socks I was thrilled with their description and equally thrilled with their price! When I asked the seller a couple questions I received a prompt response. So more thrills. However, then I asked about their certification of organic cotton; I received absolutely no response. This seemed to tell me a LOT! (Even before the Novemeber 5, 2024 election it was easy for sellers to get away with untrue claims, and I don’t think it’ll tighten up any time soon!) When I received these socks they looked and felt like plain old polyester. The packaging, basic, made no statements about certified organic cotton either. I know certification is costly, and takes a long while. And I sure do want the world to continue moving in that direction — RUNNING, not walking! As well, I want to be as supportive as I feel comfortable being to help the tide turn toward normalizing certified organic products! But us ever-growing conscious consumers, we’ve GOT to have SOMETHING to go by to feel we’re really in nontoxic circumstances when we lay those materials upon the single largest organ of our body — our skin! And this seller handled the circumstance in what I’d describe as a nontransparent way. I got the distinct impression that there was a lot of sheepishness (poor sheep don’t deserve that term!) regrading this company’s use of the phrase “organic cotton.” I just couldn’t see any sense in keeping the socks as it were, and they were returned. I was sad and disappointed. Back to the drawing board, as they say. But hey! Maggie’s are THEE REAL thing! I’m happy to say I found hers and I’ve finally been able to confirm their feeling of authenticity! On that note, I DO hope Phoenix IS ALSO the real thing, and that some day they’re able to step forward and sincerely proclaim that!

Just got and wearing for the first time. Socks often leave a mark on my legs where they are too tight — I guess to help hold them up (which doesn’t work). These socks are soft and thick. Nice for entering winter. However, they rolled down a little and then did bind and leave marks. One leg did that quite a bit, the other leg just a little. I think if wearing with boots this would not happen. — Overall, very comfortable. But I wish they didn’t tend to roll down.

I like the feel of these

    Soft comfortable

  8. Rachel F.

I love these socks. They don’t slip down your heel or dig into you leg. They just thick enough to be comfortable, but not hot, and they hold up to use and washing
