I received these 2 Pair Extra Wide Socks for Diabetic Hospital Bariatric Socks to evaluate and review. They arrived in excellent condition and were delivered by the promised date.
I love these socks! They are so soft and comfortable. My calves are nowhere near 30″ in circumference, but I do have a problem with swollen feet and ankles, so I was eager to give these a try.
They are very, very comfortable, with the only negative thing being that which has already been pointed out by other reviewers–the sock part that goes on your feet is too small and it rides very low on your heel. I ordered the size for Men 10-13 or Women 9-11, which seems backwards. Anyway, I wear a size 10.5 normally. Even if I pull the socks up very snuggly to get them to ride higher on my heel they just work their way back down. Periodically I had to remove my shoes to find a couple of inches of the sock part extending beyond my toes. It was a bit surprising that the calf part is so stretchy and fits so comfortably, while the foot part is really too small. I’m afraid that if the socks slide into the toe of my shoes then it might cause a potential tripping hazard. For that reason I feel more at ease just wearing these in bed or at home in my house shoes where I can make adjustments as needed. I don’t think I would want to have to hassle with that away from home. So basically, I look at these the same way I would a favorite robe–so comfortable to enjoy at home, but I wouldn’t wear it out in public.
In comparing these Extra Wide Socks for Diabetic Hospital Bariatric Socks to similar items for sale on Amazon they appear to be priced just right. I would give them five stars if they made the foot part larger, but even so, I really do like these a lot. If you wear a smaller shoe size them you will probably love them. As the description saids they are extra wide, so soft and very stretchy as the video shows. Very very very confortable socks. We will buy more for sure.

Plenty of room and stretch, as you can see in the video.
Even the very top is stretchy enough to where it isn’t going to cut into your leg. Loose weave keeps your ankles cool and your feet comfortable. Slight padding on the bottom for even more comfort.

Current price $16.99 for 2 pair of socks. I have ordered several packages of diabetic socks, and these are not my favorite. One of the reasons is the foot section is really low on the heel. The body section of the sock is a loose weave knit that is perfect for individuals with feet issues. The elastic on the top section is not too loose and they stay up okay. I ordered size 10-13 and the socks seem a lot smaller too. that. The foot has enough cushion, but I have to really try hard to pull them up high, so the heel isn’t too low. 3.5 stars. Hope you find this review and pictures helpful. Okay socks but at $8.50 a pair I expected more. If the heel were higher, I’d give them 4 Stars. Also, they need to be closer to the size I feel they should be.

I got these for my mother, who is diabetic and has lymphedema. She also has wide calves, so finding socks to accommodate that and stay up on her legs is a struggle. These do a pretty good job of filling those requirements. Mom says they’re comfortable and they keep her feet dry. They do stay up and they fit her wide calves. I will add that they don’t bounce back indefinitely – after a few wears and washes, the calf part of the sock starts to show signs of wear. They start to stretch a bit out of shape. Now, I wouldn’t expect them to go on forever without showing wear and tear, but it would be nice if they lasted at least a little longer. That said, these are good quality and they hold up about as I’d expect from the material.

The socks are comfortable enough, if you don’t like wearing socks at all. There is absolutely no compression to these, AT ALL. For starters, they only come up about mid-calf. Then, they slide down as the day goes by because the elastic is so …. weak. Now, if your legs are especially large, this could be a good thing, but I don’t think they are right for me.

Excellent design and construction. This set of two pairs of specialty socks offers remarkable stretch, without constricting binding properties. It offers a comfortable fit, and doesn’t sag. I like that they managed a seamless toe, so there’s no associated irritation.
The socks appear to be composed of quality fabric, which feels soft and comfortable while appearing durable (which will be determined over time and usage). The size is compatible with men’s sock size 10 – 13, with expected fit.
Overall, the socks meet expectations and earn a 4.5 star rating, with high level recommendation.

Easy to launder — they shrink a very small amount, but not noticable.
Dark color doesn’t fade in the wash.
The bottom / foot part of the socks are thicker than the tops.
Not compression socks — these are designed to loosely fit larger calves.
Premium priced when offered at about $17 at the time of our review. That’s about $8.50 per pair.
