too large for my purposes. also very bulky. i just need to carry one vial and a couple of syringes and this seems like overkill for me.

This worked well for my injections. Kept them cold and firmly in place until needed.

My wife is a diabetic. Her method was to put her insulin in a zip lock and keep in our drink cooler when traveling. We typically drive so its common to take a cooler. This is a much better way. She thought this was attractive and really liked the quality of build and the look of the bag. I told her she made a good decision in marrying me cause I make her classy.

This cooler case seems to be sturdy and well-made. It comes with two gel packs that fit in mesh pockets on either side. I do not use insulin, but I use a Forteo pen. They are larger than insulin syringes, but I can still fit two in this case. It says to freeze the gel packs for 12 hours before using. I have not traveled with this yet, but I thought I’d do a trial run just to see how it works. I froze the gel packs as instructed, then inserted a small thermometer inside the center pouch and zipped it up. An hour later, the temperature was at about 44°. I cannot say how long it will maintain that temperature, but I can tell you it gets cool enough for my Forteo pen.
Telling it As I see it –
The 2 packs were easy to freeze. I added them to the case and checked on it multiple times. It kept the case cold for a longtime, in excess of 8 hours. It was not cold after 24 hours which it is not designed to be.

I ordered several of these insulin travel coolers to compare. This MEGAWALKER one is good intermediate quality. Zippers are a bit stiff. Vinyl is smooth, durable, and waterproof. Stays cold for 6-8 hours.

I got this product because I needed something to carry insulin pens in so they wouldn’t get damaged while traveling.
This travel case is not totally a hard case but definitely not soft. IT does however fit the bill of protecting the pens, supplies that would be needed and having the extra cool packs included was a major plus.
I don’t have to worry if the pens are going to get broken in transit from jostling or just normal movement.
The only con I have is I wish that a strap of some kind had been attached. It is just the size of a clutch purse, but no real way to hold on to it if you were to get bumped. Plus, thinking of people that may not have the grip they once had, a strap would allow them the security to hold the container without the fear of losing it.
Just a thought.

I go on quite a few cruises, the port is only an hour away from me but even if I am able to board the ship right away, cabin/rooms are ready for several more hours so I usually have my insulin inside a ziploc inside another ziploc of ice… sometimes it still makes a mess inside my backpack as it melts or ruins something that it gets wet! This was perfect! It kept my insulin cold for hours, no leaking or mess! Highly recommend.
