I like the size of this, it’s well thought out and has room for anything extra. I live in the country so when we leave we may have to stay in town for a day or two with all the care a very loved diabetic dog requires. God job to the person who designed this.

This Insulin Cooler Travel Case is perfect for people with animals (not just dogs) that are Diabetic and need to store and transport insulin with them to dog parks, out on walkies, on vacations, etc.
The case is larger than expected and I wouldn’t use it for outings such as hiking because of its bulkiness and weight. If you are wearing a backpack, it should be no problem but carrying by hand would be advisable only for short walks. And because the case is so large, it will hold more than just insulin or the supplies that go with it. You could easily place treats, toys and collapsible water dishes inside of the case.
Just like with any type cooler, keeping the insulin cold is easy. You just freeze the blue hard plastic ice pack in the refrigerator overnight (between 5-8 hours) and place it in the smaller container to keep the insulin cool. Unfortunately, there are no instructions with the product so figuring out how long the ice pack will take to melt inside will be a trial-and-error situation. I have been able to keep mine cold for over 4 hours but the weather was also very cool outside.
The case is also discreet and the only indication it is for a dog is on the outside of the case. It has a cartoonish face of a dog with the name “Lucy” on it. Inside is a card that tells you who Lucy was and why/how this case was created.
For the cost of $29.99, this is a durable, well-made piece of equipment that owners of special needs pets who use insulin should have. It also comes with a handy Sharps Disposal container – although the top is difficult to open and close.
My only concern with the product was that it did not have any instructions regarding the length of time the ice pack will stay frozen. Other than that, this is a great product that I can recommend.

This works perfect for keeping our dog’s diabetic supplies organized and ready for travel. Durable outer casing keeps things from easily being crushed. Only thing that could make it better is if there was a choice of ice packs. The ice pack that comes with it is not really suited for Vetsulin vials (too large) and vial doesn’t stay secured.

This is not only a nice looking case, but it is very well designed and sturdy! I really like the fact that it’s a cooling insulin case within the outer hard case, and it has plenty of storage for your meter and strips and other items you’d want to take along with you and you sweet pup.

We recently had one of our sweet dogs diagnosed with diabetes. We were unsure of how we were going to travel with all of the supplies he would be needing. I was so excited to find this travel case on Amazon! The case is the perfect travel size and is very durable with a hard double zipper shell. It also has a nice rubber handle that makes it easy to carry. Inside the case there are several pockets and a nice size zipper compartment. We had plenty of room for his blood glucose meter & supplies, needles, and insulin. The case includes a sharps container (the case was just a little too short to hold our specific insulin needles) and a separate soft shell case with an ice pack designed specifically for 2 bottles of insulin. It made it so easy to organize and use his diabetic supplies on our vacation with just one bag! It will be taken with us on every vacation!

Only thing was his needles didn’t fit in the disposal bottle because they were too big and couldn’t just take the tip off for disposal.
