Its just too big for a carry case, too big for a purse even, if female. As a male, forget it. I am tossing it and going back to old case i can put in my pocket.

If you need a case to handle 2 pens you might want to look elsewhere.
This case could be made to fit 2 put the 2nd pen will be crammed into the mesh pocket area.
For 1 pen used as a day bag this works very well so it will become my mealtime kit when I do not need to take both pens.
There is no way I could fit my glucometer in but I usually do not take it when we go out to eat anyways.

It easily accommodates a Solu-Cortef injection kit.

My husband’s makeshift diabetic supply kit was a Gameboy Advance case. 🙂 When the zipper finally gave out, I got him this. It has a pretty slim profile, but has plenty of handy compartments for transporting his supplies. A bonus is the thin little ice pack that may help keep his insulin cool — but its use is optional, as it can be removed.

This is our second purchase of this item, the first one my husband lost, ordering online sometimes it is difficult to tell whether it is the product you want, so when the item came for him for Christmas I was pleased. This is great for whenever we leave to go anywhere for the day or evening, the cold pack takes the worry out of whether the insulin pen will get too hot. It is a perfect size as well. For short term temperature regulation, awesome.

In my opinion the case is ok. Ok size that allows you to bring it with you if you plan to eat out or take a day trip somewhere. Case is slim but wide enough to hold at least four insulin pens but that is pushing it for space. I don’t need to keep my cool so the mesh pocket where the ice pack goes can be used for needles. What I don’t like is that the mesh pockets are made a waxy plastic material which doesn’t stretch; it prevents you from easily removing the items you pack in there. It would of been better if it was elastic. The case is somewhat hard which will protect what you put inside but if you pack more than 2 insulin and a handful of pen needles it will be hard to close. The case will fit in your pocket but it will be sticking out depending on deep your pockets are. Although the hook allows you too hang it on your belt loop, bag, etc. I would suggest this to someone but I would say to double check the measurements before you buy.

I lost the one that I had so I got another one to replace it. It was convenient and handy and will keep your insulin syringe is cool for about 4’to 5 hours. Also, it is compact and easy to carry. My original was about eight years old so they are pretty durable.

I’m reviewing this after purchasing it over a year ago, shortly after my initial Dx as a Type 1 (that was a nice surprise). After daily use, frequent trips, and my treatment changing from multiple daily injections with two pens to an insulin pump, this case has proven to be resilent both in its durability and in its capacity to hold the crap I need in order to not die.

Other reviewers who have said this case doesn’t hold a couple pens are either inefficient at packing, or have an unfortunate amount of stuff they have to or think they must carry. This is a 1-2 day pack. It isn’t intended for safari use. It’s intended so you have something small and unobtrusive when you’re out: it’s something that you can slip into a suit jacket or just carry with you on those occasions where you probably shouldn’t be wearing cargo pants (e.g. most places 🙂 And yes, if I don’t have my backpack or messanger manpurse on me and don’t slip it into a pocket, it pretty much looks like my diabetes clutch. You know, it isn’t mine, I’m holding it for my girlfriend.

It takes a decent amount of arranging and trial and error to fit everything in the most efficient way, but this is a list of the most things I’ve fit into this case without an issue or having it appear on the brink of an explosion:

    – Two insulin pens (I also got in the habit of screwing a pen needle onto each of the pens and capping them again; it fits two more needles without any additional space taken)
    – Bayer Contour USB meter
    – Lancing device and three additional lancets
    – ~20 test strips in a small plastic baggie (a pill bag or dimebag, depending on what you associate with…)
    – about a dozen alcohol swabs
    – a pack of glucose tabs for emergencies
    – a few ketostix in case I felt like peeing on something
    – 6-8 BD Ultra-fine pen needles

Or when I changed to my t:slim insulin pump:
    – a new pump cartridge
    – insulin vial
    – one syringe
    – packet of tubing
    – Bayer Contour USB meter
    – Lancing device and three additional lancets
    – ~20 test strips in a small plastic baggie (a pill bag or dimebag, depending on what you associate with…)
    – about a dozen alcohol swabs
    – a pack of glucose tabs for emergencies
    – a few ketostix in case I felt like peeing on something

Now that I’m on the pump, I find it fits everything I need except a Cleo 90 insertion device, which I carry in my backpack and have an emergency one in my car. I don’t normally carry a vial of insulin since the pump lasts me about 3 days at a time.

Last point: as long as my things all fit in the case, I’m happy knowing I only have one item to keep track of instead of half a dozen floating around my pockets. Initially I let my lancing device freefloat, but eventually I just too an extra piece of elastic and put it in the top left corner with a couple stitches. Easy enough. I also made a small slit in the middle “binding” of the inside, which provides a perfect slot to fit my syringe and saving space.

This product is serving me well. It’s easier to carry than what I’ve had before. It doesn’t take up too much room and it’s presentable looking. I don’t look like I am suffering from all sorts of afflictions when I have it with me. My medication is well treated in this container. Get one yourself. It will be a great help.
