Update: I asked a friend what I could have done to make the sensor fail. She suggested I write to Stelo, I did, and with no hassle at all, they sent me a new monitor. Fingers crossed this goes better.
The insight I got from this scanner was extremely valuable to me, however, the first scanner fell off, that was on me, the second scanner lasted three days amd gave me a notice the session was complete, replace scanner. I just spent a $100.00 for 5 days of monitoring. Dang! It was accurate. I checked it against my finger pricks several times and I learned a lot in those 5 days about my eating. The sensor said learn how to make sessions last longer but now I can’t find that message. It is still on tight, I was on a walk when it quit. I have no idea. I am so disappointed.

1st cgm would not pair so after 30 minutes of trying, I went through the process of a complaint form on the stelo website and was granted a replacement sensor. put the 2nd cgm on today and even though it paired and appeared to be working, it kept saying my bg was under 70 (if i ran under 70 all the time, I would not be monitoring my bg) so again I contacted the stelo website. at first they were saying there is a difference between cgm and bg monitor readings -yes, I am aware, but almost a 50 point difference? so hoping they will send a 2nd sensor but honestly, I will never purchase again. I am disappointed.

This device does not work one bit! It does not give accurate readings. My readings only say “below 70”- that’s funny because on the boarder of being pre-diabetic. This device will say “below 70” while my other 2 reliable meters say 116 and 98 at the exact same time. Also, please note that the sensor will only record readings if your phone is on, app opened, and phone within 20’ of you. I don’t love to have my phone with me or on 100% of the time (especially at night) so that’s an issue. DO NOT PURCHASE!!

This Stelo continuous blood sugar monitor is phenomenal. It’s more than what I had ever expected. It comes with 5-star tutorial instructions to guide you along. If you really want to get to the most important results of your blood sugar levels, the Stelo monitoring is the way to go. In my opinion, disregard any negative reviews regarding this monitor. I can assure you will be more than happy with the results you will achieve.

I’m new to the CGM but was very eager to try this. I was able to set it up on my arm and set up the app on my phone without any problems. It worked great for the first seven days and was fairly consistent with my regular meters. Sometimes 10 points higher or lower up to 20 points. I took that into consideration also knowing it was a delayed by maybe 15 minutes. However, the seventh day my numbers started to spike and were 220, up to 250 points where my meter was saying I was hovering 140. It just didn’t make sense to me. I thought maybe I dislodged it and decided to take it off. Wasn’t a problem to do that and there was a big glob of something on the end of the sensor. I’ve got my 2nd meter and will try it again. Hope it’s more consistent. I will decide after that if I will continue with a CGM.

I have only had it a day, but I bought it as a learning tool to see what effects my glucose readings. A few samples a day did not really give me a good picture to allow me to adjust my eating habits. This lets me know the results of eating something and it does this to my glucose. It’s rather new technology and I don’t expect perfection, I just want a tool to help me make better decisions, and this seems to be very helpful.

I applied the Stelo sensor yesterday. It was very easy and painless. I have been using it for about 30 hours. I have been comparing the sensor measurements compared to finger stick measurements taken at exactly the same time. This Stelo sensor measurements are about 27% higher than the finger stick measurements. However, what is most useful is how the Stelo sensor is helping me to understand how things that I am eating or doing affect my blood sugar. This is really useful. I purchased two sensors and will change the existing one in about 13 days. I am attaching a graph that plots the Stelo measurements versus the finger stick measurements. There is excellent correlation. I have verified the accuracy of the finger stick measurements taken with various blood draws that my doctor has ordered.
I will repeat the comparison with the other Stelo sensor when I replace it after 14 days.
The understanding that I am developing should help to better manage my blood sugar and perhaps lower the cost of prescriptions used to control it. The knowledge gained should be well worth the price of these two sensors.

Both the units didn’t pair.
I received the unit after a weeks wait. I installed first unit as per the instructions, which was not that hard, watched the videos. However after installing the sensor and app, the unit failed at the pairing step. I tried for 2-3 hours and again after few hours. No luck. Either the sensor or the battery is dead.
Tried the same with the second unit. Same problem couldn’t get it to pair. Searched and tried to resolve the issue but no luck. Restarted the phone, reinstalled the app, lay on bed with phone adjacent to sensor, no luck. Both the units are dead on arrival. Extremely frustrating.
