This was a life saver. I have never written a review on any product before but, I need to for this. I was scared going into whole breast radiation. This product worked wonderful my radiation oncologist was very impressed with what little skin irritation I had after 18 high dose treatments. I did get a little red in the end and a little bit of peeling but really nothing like everyone anticipated. One down fall was that safety cap ended up keeping me from being able to open the product at times but the company fixed that by sending me a new one without cap. I ended up only needing to use the Miaderm-L Radiation Relief Lotion with 4% Lidocaine a couple of times in the end because I purchased the Miaderm lotion and used it numerous times a day prior to and during treatment.

The package arrived damaged without the radiation lotion inside. I contacted the company, and within 2 days they shipped another lotion and a complimentary lotion as well. I am so very touched, and throughly impressed with the level of customer service I received. I am starting breast cancer radiation in a week and now feel prepared and more at ease about facing treatment. Thank You so very much Miaderm.

Great product for sensitive skin. Made the tenderness not so noticeable and helped with the dryness of the area. Shipped fast and just as described. Expensive but worth it.

I agree with some of the reviews about ease of spreading the cream, goes on smoothly, not greasy or sticky feeling. The tube is small for the $40 price point. I used it for bilateral breast radiation and the amount I need was about one tube per week. Spread from under the both breasts to the top of the chest, plus under arms. I ended up switching with caléndula cream, was less expensive by $32 and I included Aquaphor ointment (big jar around $20) together and that did the job better, kept my skin safe and hydrated for less money spent.

This cream was very well and soothing and relieving radiation bombs on the skin. The only complaint I have is that it only comes in 2 ounces and it is very pricey.
It provides excellent relief and is very rich to moisturize the skin after
Treatment

This product really helped me get through my radiation treatments. This was my second bout with breast cancer and the first time I was so badly burned I had to stop treatment for almost 2 weeks. My skin was so charred I was in constant pain. This time I used Miaderm and made sure to drink lots of water. I still got a bit of blistering in a couple of small areas but I did not have to interrupt treatment! I got through with much less discomfort and the skin will not take nearly as long to recover. Highly recommend using this a week before starting treatments and continuing for a month or so after. 3-4 times per day. And drink plenty of water! It’s not cheap, but for me it was worth every penny!

During my radiation treatment I began searching for a good lotion with lidocaine in it, saw this, and despite the high price decided to try it. What a welcome relief for my itchy, burning skin. The tube is a great idea. Easy to carry in a purse for application immediately after a treatment. This was not among the products my nurses recommended but I liked it better than anything else I tried. A little goes a long way, it’s quickly absorbed, not greasy or sticky, doesn’t stain, and moisturizes very well (as does the plain Miaderm). The price here is really prohibitive, however. It would be great if hospitals would supply this to patients or if somehow insurance would pay for it.

I made it through 6 weeks of whole breast radiation using both Miaderm lotions. I began with the one that does not contain lidocaine and then switched about half way through to this one only because I was worried, probably needlessly, about any side effects that might have been cumulative. Both products are the consistency of body lotion and can be applied right before dressing. I had the tube in my purse and applied it in the dressing room after each treatment, immediately put on my clothes and left. There is no staining or stickiness. It was recommended by my rad team at City of Hope and I am glad I used it. It was worth the price and I had no abnormal side effects from the radiation, no skin breakdown, and no interruption of treatment.
