It packs a big punch even with the slightest bit of gel applied to area. It is also non-greasy and in my opinion has a very fresh, airy and somewhat earthy aroma as well. My top pro however for buying it, was I got it as a sample and since then I ordered one a few years back to overcome a wrist injury (both wrists were sprained but one had stronger pain than the other) from a benching injury at the gym. It worked incredibly well and penetrated deep into the muscle tissue, it also lasted long enough to work through it.
My second time using it was for a lower and mid back ache years ago, it was highly effective however due to the severity of it required application every 3-4 hours. For *most* aches and pains, such as neck or shoulder pain I say it’s the best lotion in the market. I have tried menthol creams which have more of a surface area effect that while effective does not necessarily penetrate to the extent that Blue Goo’s EMU oil version does, this one however goes beyong just the surface area – it won’t just null the pain and cause a cold-hot/hot-cold effect it will actually go further than a menthol lotion would and thus, can last longer time period while being very effective.
For the purposes of gym, strenuous activity and general ache purposes I have recommend this product to dates, co workers and friends and it will be my go to going forward.
Form factor: Another incredible benefit actually is the “pop top” opening that does not require a separate cap, so for those traveling or wanting this it’s great. The long side bottle actually fits in most cabinets, bathroom storage units and most bags (ziplock bags too). In this regard it’s also the best designed pain relief product as it’s made for the purpose of quickly picking up and using as necessary. I highly recommend it even if you don’t have a need for it right now, you may need it in the future and you’ll be more than glad you had it on hand.

Generally works OK, but it does have a little “perfumey” scent that lingers on the hands even after washing. Also, for those people with high blood pressure (hypertension), this “goo” has Arnica (and Penetrex does too) which can cause your blood pressure to go up. For that latter reason, I cannot use it.

I bought this because I ran out of China gel and it was not in my budget to replace it. In a pinch, this works. It does have a smell to it but it’s not the same camphor/menthol smell of other topicals. I have used bio freeze previously and it has become less effective and I’m not sure if the formula changed since it’s being sold at big box and dollar stores, but the blue goo works better than bio freeze. As far as comparison to China gel, the initial effect is the same. The notable difference is that the China gel still feels like it’s working hours after application. However, the blue goo works for me and the price is nice. I have major back issues and a good massage of the blue goo has gotten things moving around minutes after an application & massage. I do have a couple of issues with the blue goo: if it isn’t totally rubbed in, it creates a burning/stinging sensation which is alleviated by making sure the product is completely massaged in. My other issue is the weirdness that happens as the product is rubbed in. It’s hard to describe but it makes like a rubbery yet gritty texture. That feels awful on the hands & I imagine it’s leaving weird residue on my skin. Again, in a pinch this works well and the price point is better than other creams.

I love this stuff , I have tried and used so many different kinds of brands . Not goin get into my physical problems, But this stuff don’t sink , smells good, ECT I picked up some last month from a Dollar general and they don’t carry it no more , am glad I found it on Amazon, Best stuff I ever used since 2013 , am getting worse and this helps a lot to sleep at night, thank you and please don’t discontinued it like evertime something exactly works , and this does

I rarely write reviews, but in this case I decided to write. My knee has been hurting for a week, I can’t walk, I’m limping. I smeared it with different ointments and 5% lidocaine for a whole week, mozazal and glued patches on my knee. Nothing helped. I found Blue go on the Internet. Now I’m happy. I’ve been smearing it for only a day, the pain is 90% gone. This is a great product. I recommend it to everyone. Try it.

WoW this Blue Goo really goes to work fasssst! Deep penetrating to those aches and pain. This product really works. Just be sure to rub it into the skin by applying some pressure.. This is the first time I purchased this product.. Really works nicely!
