I liked everything except trying to use it 2 weeks later. When I tried to use it again it crumbled the pills. I tried cleaning the blades. It still did not work. It’s as if the blades became dull. I had only cut about 12 pills.

When used for first time today a piece broke off and it didn’t even want to cut my pills evenly. Still made a mess of my pills so unevenly cut.

this pill splitter is wonderful. it splits several pills with one motion. saves time. very accurate too. much better than my old single splitter. quality and precision although plastic mechanism.

This has been a great time saver. Rather than have to cut each pill individually, this cutter can handle multiple pills at the same time. I’ve been using it with small size round pills with excellent results. The cut is as clean as it is on my single pill cutter, but I can do 6 in one cut. The two holders squeeze the pills into a neat row, and the cutter in the handle splits them all at the same time. I found I got the best results with a slow, firm press on the cutter lid.
It’s not ideal, however, for pills that are something other than small/medium round pills. It can be done, but getting them properly aligned is way more fiddly compared with round pills. If you mostly need to cut oblong pills, a conventional pill splitter is probably the better option.
The build quality is OK. It’s all plastic, but feels substantial enough that I expect to get a decent service life out of it. However, considering the price point, I would have liked to see a more robust build quality and a larger catch area for the cut pills. One star down for value given the rather high price point for a pill cutter (even considering the multi-pill design).

This works fine. There are two little wheels on the side that adjust the size of the inside section so that you can sandwich a pill between the two walls and cut it easily without it sliding around too much. There are some fine teeth on the walls to help keep the pills in place. The lid comes down smoothly and you don’t need a lot of pressure to get a decent cut for a single pill, but I had to use more force when cutting multiple pills, though still not a lot. I tried a smaller pill and a larger, thicker pill. I tried multiple of the smaller pills, and the bottom ones cut more cleanly than the top ones. I tried lining up the center cut line, but I couldn’t line it up exactly and it didn’t cut them exactly in half. I tried it again, lining them up better, and it cut them more cleanly, but it’s a pain to line them up. For what I need, inexact cuts are fine, but it’s not for people who need 100% precise dosages. I recommend doing one at a time. It’s a bit pricey for a pill splitter.

I was able to cut 5 pills at a time with this pill cutter and it split 4 of them perfectly in half. A 5th pill was cut in half, but one side the pill was also split in half again. It did a good job cutting the pills without shattering or crushing them and the cuts were clean. But, it took me a long time to align all the pills in the cutter with the score lines centered under where the blade was, so I don’t think cutting more than one pill at once saved me any time.
The cutter also works great for cutting one pill at a time, so I will keep using it that way rather than spending time lining up multiple pills at once. This cutter has a dial that turns, allowing you to adjust the width of the space where the pill sits, which is a super convenient feature and made positioning the pills easier. I like this cutter and it works better than the previous one I owned.
