I have been letting my daughter use this product, Mint Free Gentle Mugwort Skin Moisturizing Balm – Soothing & Nourishing for Dry Sensitive & Eczema-Prone Skin – Suitable for Newborns & Kids and here is what she thought of it. She likes it. She has been using it on her skin that has some eczema and it is very soothing and nourishing to her skin. She likes that it comes in a portable container to keep with her at all times. She likes the ingredients as well as they are not irritating at all. She said she would recommend.

The scent is not strong. I would say it is scentless if not intentionally smelling it. I did not experience irritation when applying it on my skin cut and it relieved discomfort. I do not have eczema but extremely dry skin with frequent paper-cut. It helps.

I liked this balm. I liked that it wasn’t strongly scented and stayed on fairly well. The balm is contained in a little tin with a lid. It was easy to pick up just the amount I needed with my finger. I found it to be soothing to my skin.

Mugwort is known for the many benefits it can provide to your skin. It contains antioxidants that protect the skin from damage by free radicals. It has anti-inflammatory properties that are good for irritated and sensitive skin. It also has some antibacterial properties. As a result, it may help treat conditions like acne and eczema. I do have a problem with eczema, particularly on part of my legs and on one elbow. I have used an intensive care skin lotion with colloidal oatmeal made specifically for eczema, and although it helps soften and soothe the rash somewhat, the eczema persists. I ordered this balm in the hopes that it will further help the eczema.
Herbbies mugwort balm is mint free because some people have a sensitivity to mint, and it can cause an allergic reaction. Personally, I have no such allergy and would have liked the scent of mint in it. It has almost no smell except for a very faint scent that I assume is the mugwort itself. This balm had the most interesting texture. When I first put some on my fingers, it felt greasy. But as I rubbed it into my rash, it turned to a very silky texture, and after a few more seconds, it absorbed completely into the skin. My skin felt softer after application.
For only slightly over an ounce, this is quite an expensive product. If you have irritated skin, though, this balm is worth trying for the luxurious sensation of rubbing it in. And perhaps this will work better than colloidal oatmeal if you have eczema or other skin irritations. For me, only time will tell.

I’m not sure what’s going on. I work with oils and this smelled rancid. Like the oils used were expired and it was just bad. Not herbally, not earthy, just rancid. No thank you.

Nice minty smell, non-sticky and absorbed immediately. This helped calm inflamed, uncomfortable sensitive skin and helped to reduce the redness. These are 100% natural ingredients that helps to prevent further damage. This has improved the skin’s resilience and moisture. This is free from nuts, coconut, mineral oil, parabens, and sulphates. Like also that this is on a convenient container.

I’m sorry, but I am not a fan.
This stuff is supposed to be moisturizing, but I found it to have the opposite effect. This stuff seems to dry out my skin more than anything.
At night after my skincare routine sometimes I put stuff like this on top of everything around my eyes and around my mouth because I live in a very dry climate in southern California, and I also use actives like tretinoin, which can seriously dry out your skin, as well as chemical exfoliants…
So I put Vaseline around my eyes or I’ve tried other products like beef tallow, coconut oil, and similar products to this one. And this product is the first one I’ve encountered where I wake up in the morning and my skin around my eyes seems to be much more dry.
It should be known that I do not have sensitive skin either. So for this product to claim that it kind of has a calming effect as well as a moisturizing effect, etc. I’m afraid that my personal experience with it is the exact opposite.
Therefore I’m afraid I could not recommend this to anyone. I’ve found much better products out there that have similar claims to this and that actually work well.
And it’s odd because this product feels very greasy so you would think it would have at least some sort of moisturizing effect? Again, just strange.
