My pill cutter of many years finally bit the dust for the last time. I’d already super glued it once. This time it wasn’t possible. Decided to get a new one, and I’m glad I did. The other one was way too tall to fit into my pocket. This one will easily fit and be unobtrusive.
At first, I was concerned about opening it because there’s no easily visible latch. I have arthritis in my hands AND nerve damage which means I have extremely reduced dexterity and poor finger strength. I saw the two little indentations to open the lid, and I immediately was concerned. But, the lid opened easily, although, I would prefer larger indentations to make it even easier.
I saved one of the pills I always split in the morning for the evening so I could try it out as soon as it arrived. This pill of mine is a very small, round, flat pill and isn’t always easy to split. This split it perfectly; but the cool part is that half went into a sealed chamber, while the other half went into the dispenser area, so I could immediately take it or put it into my pill container. You can then put the cutter in your pocket for when you need the other half. It’s locked away safely on the other side and can’t accidentally fall out. Brilliant.
Some reviewers talk about how the pill crumbles instead of cuts as they slowly push down on the cutter. HEADS UP!!! That is NOT how to cut pills. You cut pills with a RAPID cut, otherwise, they will likely crush or cut crooked. I’ve cut lots of pills in my life, and my little pill is easily crushed, instead of cut. Make a RAPID CUT, no matter what you’re using.
Some reviewers talked about it being flimsy plastic. No, the case is all plastic, but it’s a good, solid, thick plastic that will take some abuse. The blade is true, both vertically and side to side. Maybe previous, older versions were not, but this one purchased in July of 2023 is not. Plus, I like the color combination of a clear top and transparent blue bottom.
Amazon Vine sent this product to me for an honest unbiased review. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, however, I will make two improvement suggestions, larger indentations for opening the lid, and a groove of raised plastic for the blade to fit in and be completely locked in place.

What a great product! I have little, teeny, tiny pills that I need to cut in half to give to my cat. I tried to use a small knife and it didn’t work well. This contraption cut the teeny pill in half with ease! Perfect!! Not to mention a great price!!

Simple cheap device that works great.
High quality plastic. Strong construction. Extremely sharp blade firmly attached. Splits pills of many sizes evenly in half time after time. There’s no color choice but they are all attractive jewel tones. After a couple of years the blade dulls & it will start to crush tablets but these are so cheap…. Just replace them. I remove the blade & store small items in the continer. You don’t need expensive ones. Try these first.
