My wife and I have seen some people rave about L’OCCITANE both on Amazon and elsewhere, but neither of us are sure if it had any serious positive impact on her skin, especially to justify the price.
The “pearls” feel more like a catchy marketing tactic, but it basically feels like little balls of cream that you have to much together before applying to your face.
It has a strong perfume scent that I kind of liked, but my wife wasn’t a fan because she doesn’t love most fragrances.
The overall effect is it moisturizes/plumps your skin, but only significantly for about an hour. For the price point unless you have a ton of money it’s probably overpricesed.
3/5. Only recommended if it is within budget for you.

Dramatic pearls that you can melt by massaging them in your palm, with a luscious scent, that glide onto your skin like they are just what your skin has been needing. It is a little heavier than a serum, and I use only a very light moisturizer on top of it instead of my normal evening moisturizer.
I can’t decide if the pearls ‘melt’ from the warmth of your hand or from the pressure of massage. The result is a creamy paste. I find I had to massage a little more than I first expected to get a uniform product to apply. My skin needed all 3 pearls. I sometimes use 2 on my face, and then repeat with a single pearl on my neck.
The ingredients include shea butter (had a friend who avoided it), fragrance and compounds like coumarin for scent. This product is made in Korea (according to the box). There is a lot number on the box. It has a symbol that says it is good for six months after opening. The website is a good reference for what other products L’Occitane sells in the Immortelle Divine line.

These little pearls aren’t worth the effort it takes to use them. They don’t dissolve into a lotion. You are supposed to hold them in the palm of your hand and allow them to melt. I warmed my hands, held them between my palms, tried to mush them into a lotion but they remained lumpy and waxy. I did managed to rub them onto my face. The description says it will densify and plump your skin with regular use. I have used them a few times and they don’t seem to moisturize very well. I’ll finish the bottle and hopefully get worthwhile results.

I’ve been a longtime fan of L’OCCITANE lotions, so when I discovered the L’OCCITANE Immortelle Divine Youth Care in Pearls, I couldn’t resist trying it. The product has a truly luxurious feel. The pearls are designed to plump the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
To use, you place three pearls in the palm of your hand, gently melt them by massaging, and then apply the product to your face and neck each night before your moisturizer. It does take some time to fully melt the pearls, which can feel a bit inconvenient if you’re in a rush.
The formula has a light, pleasant scent that isn’t overpowering. While it feels nice on the skin, the extra step of melting the pearls might not appeal to everyone.

I am currently a 47-year-old male who had only recently started to put more care into my facial routine. Along with the retina night serum and eye cream that I start with after a 60 second facial scrub, I intend to try this to supplement my finishing nighttime facial lotion which does contain a little bit of hyaluronic acid.
Three small pearls as directed is just about the right amount for my face and neck. It has a mild citrusy scent which is pleasant and not overbearing, and it does not leave an oily feel after applying like some other serums that I’ve tried.
I like the fact that they use sustainable materials to make this product, which is a nice touch and is specified inside of the box — you wouldn’t be able to read it unless you rip it all the way open.
If I see a visible difference after the 28 days are up, then I plan to continue ordering this for months to come.

These had a very luxurious feel to them. They had only a little liquid/serum at the bottom mixed with the pearls. The pearls melt with heat from your hands they did take a few seconds extra to completely melt the last bit of pearl. The serum felt thicker and after a few minutes of application to face and neck my skin felt completely smooth and non tacky/sticky. I do wish they had not placed information on the inside top of packaging because it is easy to miss. I do hope they have refills for the glass bottles available since it would be easy to go through in a few weeks.
