This gel sunscreen doesn’t smell like sunscreen, doesn’t leave weird white residue, and spreads on the skin like water. One bottle lasts so much longer than you would thing, and the refill packs are super reasonable.

I’ve been purchasing the Nivea Super Water Gel sunscreen for quite a while now both in the regular applicator tip and the pump bottle. The pump bottle is much preferred. Previously I couldn’t find refills online but I recently came across these refill pouches and was impressed. The tip is rigid and shaped to sit in the bottle which makes it extremely easy to use.

I have been using this Nivea sunscreen for years. It is so light and odorless, it doesn’t even feel like sunscreen. Consistency is more like a serum or really light moisturizer. No greasy or white residue left behind. And it has my skin looking great with almost no sun damage or wrinkles. I’m 47 but I always joke around and tell people I’m 37 and they don’t question it, lol!! I think it has a lot to do with this sunscreen because it’s the only item in my skincare routine that has been consistent for the past 10 – 15 years. I only buy this version, which I believe is from Japan. I never tried the American version. I don’t know why I trust products from Japan more than the US, but I just do, even though it’s probably the exact same thing. I’ve had to search it out and buy from different websites when Amazon didn’t have it for a while, but I am a die hard and loyal fan of this sunscreen and will get it from anywhere I can find it. So happy that it’s back in stock on Amazon and it’s awesome that they offer the refill packs now – less plastic waste is a win for everyone! I really like the sunscreen, but didn’t be fooled by the picture of pump bottles. These are foil satchets filled with sunscreen. You will need to have your own container (or deal with an opened foil satchet of sunscreen). Sunscreen is great though, rubs in with no oily residue.

I’m Black and this is the first facial sunscreen I’ve used that leaves NO WHITE CAST, which on my skin usually comes off as purple. It’s milky and easy to rub in, plays well with my moisturizer, and I really love that I can just keep refilling my bottle rather than buying a new bottle every time. It also comes with a handy pump lock that makes it easy to travel with. I will keep buying this Japanese version for as long as I can access it, you literally cannot beat the value of it.
