Nature Made Berberine is processed through the phytosome method, which creates a barrier around the medicinal herb so gastric juices do not diminish some of its healing potential before reaching the absorption state. That alone makes this an excellent product, but I also found these capsules easy to take and convenient. I opened up a capsule and sure enough tastes like bitter berberine – another good sign. Nature Made is a well known California company that has been going since 1971, which also has me feeling good about this quality product. One can find a cheaper version of berberine made in China, but I prefer a brand I can trust. Pharmacists also recommend this vitamin and supplement brand. I would have preferred a glass bottle to plastic, as I see some supplement companies are doing now.

I love NatureMade supplements, and I love this product. Among the literature, NatureMade consistently performs well in third party testing and has earned its reputation for quality and accuracy.
The product is sealed well, fresh, and does not have any odd colors or funny smells. The product is easy to take and is a 30 day supply.
If you are looking for a berberine supplement to try, I recommend going with this product. I took a full course of berberine supplements in the past only to find out a third party lab showed there was no berberine in the brand I took. Don’t get fooled, buy a trusted name.

Taking Berberine is a part of my daily ritual. I have trusted Nature Made over the years with other quality supplements so getting this version was a no-brainer. This clinically studied Berberine with Phytosome has greater absorption than regular Berberine. The medium-sized capsules are easy to swallow and have no taste or smell. I’ve been really impressed with this berberine supplement! Unlike others I’ve tried, it causes me no stomach distress, which is a huge plus. The quality is excellent, and the price is very reasonable. Delivery was also fast, and it arrived exactly as described. While it’s hard to gauge its long-term effects just yet, I have noticed an improvement in my physical performance since I started taking it

If you’ve ever taken Berberine you know what to expect. A rich, yellow/gold color and it very VERY bitter taste when taken raw/mixed. You can verify this in capsules by opening one up and taking a look at the insides along with tasting it on your tongue. Real Berberine taste will stick around for quite a bit in the worse way.
I usually take ~450-600mg once a day and with my main meal as it has carbs so I only need one capsule. The dosage is perfect for me.
Opening up one of these and yep, it’s the real deal. Rich in color and bitter in taste.
Nature Made is a well known brand for quality too.

Over the years I’ve taken products by Nature Made, a known and respected brand sold online and in many local pharmacy stores. It is known as the #1 pharmacist recommended vitamin supplement brand. I just started this particular Berberine by Nature Made. Their claim is that this Nature Made Berberine Phytosome has 5x higher bioavailability than standard Berberine (HCl) when taken on an empty stomach. It’s good to know that this is gluten free and contains no artificial sweeteners, no artificial flavors and no added colors. I am taking their suggested 1 easy to swallow 550 mg capsule twice a day with water for at least 2 months, with this 60 count bottle lasting you for 30 days. I got great lab results last time around, so I can’t wait to see next time when taking this better absorption Berberine by Nature Made.

I’ve been reading about Berberine and metabolic health. Especially the Phytosome variety. This supplement by Nature Made includes a good amount (550 mg per single capsule). The directions instruct to take 1 capsule 2 times daily for at least 2 months. I take a variety of supplements for health and this is the first one I’ve seen that instruct to take for a certain duration. I guess the take-away is not to expect significant changes until at least two months. While I appreciate that there are no added sweeteners, artificial flavors, or added colors, I’m not thrilled about two of the fillers…Pea Protein Isolate and Stearate Acid. Their presence isn’t a deal breaker, but I prefer to take as few fillers as possible in my supplements. Expiration is 2 years from now.
