I ordered this because I thought it was an exceptional value (money-wise) because it says “HPD Rx Premium AHCC Supplement 1100 mg.” I did not think that the part coming after that text (|Shitake) meant that only HALF of the 1100 mg is really AHCC.
This posting should be changed. Either that or the front of the bottle changed to say “AHCC combo Shitake, 1100 mg”.
If most people are like me they do 2 things when comparing supplement prices:
1) Check the mg on the bottle.
2) Check the serving size.
Then you figure that the serving size (in this case 3 capsules) is = the mg amount on the bottle.
In this case it is NOT.
This review is not a review of the quality of the product. From all indications it appears to be good AHCC. However, because I want to take the dose recommended for significant health improvements, I cannot rate the quality of this product. Because in order to take enough of this product to meet the 2200 mg of AHCC I planned on taking each day, I would need to take 12 capsules a day! (I was OK with 6, but not 12).

I’m a huge advocate for health and wellness and I’m always researching the best supplements available. My feminine and overall health is very important to me. There have been numerous studies on the benefits of AHCC and how it boosts immune function and prevents infection.
I’ve tried a few of the other brands of AHCC and although they also have great ratings, I found other brands to be a bit harsh on my stomach (I have a sensitive stomach). I read about HPDRx and their physicians created formulas. For some reason THIS formula is the easiest on my sensitive stomach and I sense it gives me the biggest immune boost. Specifically since taking this supplement, I have not become sick and my OBGYN and all my tests are normal and all is well.
Highly recommend for other women concerned with their feminine wellbeing.

I really wanted this product to work for me. I took the recommended dosage for 3 days. I ended up calling Amazon to get a refund because it gave me terrible tension headaches, constipation, insomnia, and very vivid dreams (possibly due to high potassium). The day I stopped taking these, all my adverse symptoms went away. Afterwards, I bought a more expensive AHCC product (Quality of Life Kinoko Platinum AHCC) that does not have the shiitake extract. I did not experience any of the symptoms mentioned above with the 2nd product.
